TRAILER TIME: Steve Carell and Keira Knightley in ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’
Sooooooooo basically this is ‘Melancholia’ just a lot less melancholy. Seems like odd casting, but I do think it looks really good.

Actress Kiera Knightley and costar Steve Carell enjoy their time between shots on the set of their new film “Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World” which is filming in Malibu. Also on set keeping the actress company was new boyfriend, Klaxons member James Righton who held hands with the actress and lingered by her side throughout the day.
Plot Synopsis:
Set in a too-near future, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World explores what people will do when humanity’s last days are at hand. Can one man find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge (Mr. Carell) and Penny (Ms. Knightley) converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.
I don’t know how I feel about Keira Knightley in a comedy – and especially opposite Steve Carell. Seems like very strange casting if you ask me.

Will Ferrell is joining ‘The Office’, but not permanently, unfortunately.
According to Gossip Cop, Will has signed on to do a four-episode arc on “The Office” to help smooth Steve Carell’s exit.
He will play a manager who comes to the Scranton branch and turns out to be just as inappropriate as Carell’s character.
Can’t wait!

She has been preparing to start work on her new film Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close.
The Paramount Pictures film also stars Tom Hanks and is based on the book by Moneyball and True Grit producer Scott Rudin.
It follows the story of a nine-year-old girl who searches for a lock to match a mysterious key that was left to her by her father when he died in the September 11 attacks.
While preparing for this current film, she is also in pre-production on several other projects including The Abstinence Teacher with Steve Carell and Most Wanted with her Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds.

Usually when the first poster for a movie is revealed, it means the film is coming soon. That unfortunately might not be the case for director Jodie Foster’s The Beaver, starring Mel Gibson from a script by Kyle Killen. The script was number one on the 2008 Black List and is about a man who finds a beaver puppet in the garbage and decides to communicate only using the beaver. Stars like Steve Carell and Jim Carrey hovered around the project, but when Gibson took over the lead role, the film reached a whole other level. It would be only the second film for the Oscar-winner since spewing anti-Semetic remarks in a drunken tirade. But then, just as that incident was seemingly forgotten and the film was finishing, Gibson found himself in hot water again after leaving his girlfriend violent voicemails with racial slurs. Jump to the present and Gibson is once again untouchable. His Leonardo DiCaprio Viking movie went away as did his cameo in The Hangover Part II.
So here’s the question…
