Ever since Blake Lively posted the above picture on Instagram to honor Ryan Reynolds on Father’s Day, there has been some buzz about how their daughter isn’t safely secured in the carrier. Now, he is addressing the baby carrier issues – and as it turns out, it all boils down to him being a new dad. Can’t really fault him for that, can we?
Blake posted the picture with the caption: “Happy Fathers Day!!! … @vancityreynolds Since the day our baby was born, I’ve felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father. #ILoveYouSoMuchItsSilly”.
Cute enough, right? It was until her fans began pointing out that he borked up how he was carrying their daughter James in the carrier.
“The baby is not properly secured in the vessel that I’m wearing there,” he says during a Tuesday interview with Matt Lauer for Today.
“I’m a first-time dad and that is not the first mistake I’ve made and I can guarantee it won’t be the last.”
And, rest assured, adds Reynolds, James has been carried correctly ever since the controversial candid. “I had never used that particular carrier before so every other time it’s been perfect,” he says.
More than anything, I loved her caption on the Instagram picture – it’s hilarious.

Let’s take you into the weekend with the very FIRST photo Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds shared of their baby girl JAMES!
The shot (of tiny fingers wrapped around a thumb) was shared via instagram by Reynolds, 38, and included the caption: “Thumb wrestling isn’t always fair. Curiously, my hand is the small one.”
Lively, 27, quickly regrammed her the pic and added under her account: “…and with that, my husband @vancityreynolds joins Insta.”
I hear a couple on insta stays on insta. Or you know, at least that’s what my grandmother taught me. BUT I DIGRESS…
Blake and Ryan welcomed their kid in December, and this is literally the first post we’ve seen even indicating little James has a photo likeness. But the couple IS outspoken about being new parents. During her press tour, the bubbly Gossip Girl alum spoke in detail about first-time parenting to US Weekly:
“You never know when you’re gonna get crapped on or when you’re gonna get a big smile or when that smile immediately turns into hysterics,” Lively told the Los Angeles Times last month about her 4-month-old tot. “It might be like living with a drug addict. But you have a baby and you think, ‘I can’t imagine ever not having a baby,’ because they grow up so quickly. I’d be an 80-year-old woman with a baby if I could.”
Hey, Blake, with modern technology…WHO KNOWS.
Have a babylicious weekend, y’all.

Scarlett Johansson‘s marriage to Ryan Reynolds OBVI didn’t work out, but she does have advice on how to be in a happy marriage!
The Avengers: Age of Ultron star is now happily hitched French journalist Romain Dauriac. To what does she credit their marital strength? Separate careers, kids. Separate. Friggin.’ Careers.
In the new issue of Parade, the actress alluded to the problems inherent in dating (and marrying) a fellow actor…which may give us hints at why Ryan and Scarlett ultimately didn’t work out:
“Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in,” the Lucy star told the magazine. “It’s very volatile. There’s always going to be the more successful person. It’s related to rejection. Because actors, if they’re not having success, connect it directly to unpopularity — to the fact that nobody wants them.”
“[Marriage] takes a lot of work. It takes a man who’s not only confident in the love that you have for one another, but confident in what he has going on in his own career. He has to be in a field that’s completely different from yours,” she explained to Parade.
“My husband’s also involved in art. What’s important to him is the recognition that he gets from his job, and that has nothing to do with my job,” she added.
They do share some common interests, of course. “We like to go out and go dancing,” the blonde stunner, 30, dished. “Other times, we like to sit at home and eat Thai food and watch House Hunters International for four hours. And we’re interested in each other’s worlds.”

Wow, pretty strong endorsement for dating someone outside of your own line of work. Do you agree or disagree with ScarJo’s assessment on what makes a healthy marriage?

Ugh, I hate when Ryan Reynolds’ hotness is covered up. But, here we go…
The actor was spotted filming “Deadpool” this morning in Vancouver, and Ryan seems to be taking well to a superhero suit that isn’t the Green Lantern. As you may know, Deadpool is kind of an anti-hero story, where a former Special Forces operative turned mercenary gets caught up in a rogue experiment that leaves him with crazy healing powers. So can Reynolds do the part justice? I hope so.
The new dad was working it and hopefully bring in some box office gold! Will YOU see it?
