Actor Ryan Phillippe is heading to a TV near you! According to Deadline Hollywood, Ryan has been one of the most sought after actors for TV pilots.  It looks like he finally found a project that interested him, as he’s set to star in a currently-untitled (formerly called Golden Boy) series about a cop.

Centers on cop Clark (Phillippe) and chronicles his meteoric rise from officer to detective and ultimately police commissioner. In the pilot, Phillippe joins previously cast Kevin Alejandro and Chi McBride.

I’m not a big fan of cop dramas, but for Ryan I’ll tune in and at least give it a chance.

Okay I don’t know about you, but this totally creeps me out. I don’t see many reasons why a 36-year-old should date an 18-year-old. It makes him a bit skeevy in my book. Ryan just became a father for the third time. Demi has had a rough year, struggling with emotional issues and entering rehab for help with her problems.

E! and US weekly are reporting that the two have secretly been dating for a couple months now.

E! News has learned exclusively that Lovato has been quietly dating Phillippe, the actor and divorced dad of three (including 2-week-old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp), over the last couple of months.

A source says Phillippe and Lovato started seeing each other casually, but it quickly heated up, with the source revealing that things have cooled a bit since the birth of Phillippe’s daughter.

“It was really hot and heavy for a while,” says a source close to the casual couple, adding that Lovato didn’t know for sure that Phillippe was going to be a father again “until it basically happened. It kind of threw her for a loop.”

But the reason for slowing things down with the former Mr. Reese Witherspoon wasn’t all about the new baby, but also about Lovato’s baby of her own. The promotion of her new single “Skyscraper” and video, which premiered last week on E! News, has been consuming most of her attention in the last few weeks.

In other words, only time will tell if these two will eventually evolve into a full-fledged item.

Reps for the stars have not yet responded to E! News’ request for comment, though a source close to Phillippe denies that any relationship with Lovato took place and says that the actor is currently “totally single.”

Ryan Phillippe didn’t wait for a DNA test to confirm whether or not he’s the father of Alexis Knapp’s baby. After In Touch exclusively reported earlier this year that Alexis was pregnant with Ryan’s baby, Alexis gave birth to a nearly 8-pound baby girl that she named Kai on July 1, and Ryan was in the delivery room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Alexis was due to give birth a week before, but on June 30, doctors induced labor so she could have the baby. “It was a smooth delivery if a little late,” a pal says.

Although the actor has yet to discover if he is the baby’s biological father, that didn’t stop him from spending the final weeks of Alexis’ pregnancy helping her prepare for the birth. “Ryan took Alexis to her last doctor’s appointments and was there in the hospital when she gave birth,” a friend says. “He’s waiting for the DNA test to see of he’s the father, but he’s acting like he is.”

“Ryan is aware of the situation [and] totally prepared to take responsibility should the child be his.”

On Monday, Ryan Phillippe was photographed in Los Angeles for the very first time with Alexis Knapp, his very pregnant ex-girlfriend. Phillippe and the model-actress, who dated on and off last year, were snapped picking up cold beverages at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before heading into an obstetrician’s office. Phillippe then dropped off the first-time mom-to-be at her home.

Back in March, Us Weekly was first to break news that Knapp was expecting — and had announced to pals that ex Phillippe (they split for good in September 2010) was the father.

The Lincoln Lawyer actor (dad to Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, with ex-wife Reese Witherpsoon) has remained mum his ex’s talked-about pregnancy. “He doesn’t know if he’s the father,” one insider told Us, adding that he plans to take a paternity test. “If it’s his, he’ll take responsibility.”

So Undercover star Knapp, meanwhile is “really excited to be a mom,” another insider said.

She has similarly not spoken publicly about her baby-to-be, who is reportedly due soon. “Alexis has maintained her silence and will continue to do so,” her rep told Us in March. “She continues to appreciate the love and support of her family and friends.”

After seven months together, Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe have called it quits – again, a source tells Us Weekly.

“It was mutual,” the source says. “They were never fully committed.”

After meeting at Kate Hudson‘s Halloween party last October, the pair first called it quits in February.

“They were always on and off,” adds the source. “They were always seeing other people.” Still, when reports surfaced in March that Phillippe, 36, was father of his ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp‘s baby, due this month, Seyfried, 25, stuck by him.

But it’s anything but acrimonious post-split, says the pal. “There’s no bad blood. They’re cool.”

Is Ryan Phillippe so fed up with the paparazzi that he’s quiting acting?

The actor spoke with the NY Post at the premiere of his new movie “The Bang Bang Club” on Friday night, and admitted that he’s so sick of the paparazzi, he was thinking about calling it quits on his 20-year-old acting career.

“I think I’m going to end my acting career,” he told the Post. “I’m so introverted. I’m ready to be behind the scenes. I’m 36, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years.”

He could be sick of the cameras because he has either dated – or been married to – some of the hottest women in Hollywood. He was married to Reese Witherspoon, and is currently dating Amanda Seyfried.

But…..he’s not ready to quit for good. Access Hollywood reports that an unnamed source says that the comments were taken out of context, and that Phillippe is looking to expand his behind-the-scenes efforts, along with continuing to do some acting.

When Ryan was asked what he loves most about being a father at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of The Bang Bang Club, he was very enthusiastic. “Everything! Everything! I can’t pick one thing!”

In the film, Ryan, 36, portrays a real-life combat photographer who covered the unrest in post-apartheid South Africa in the early ’90s. At home, his life is much simpler, as he balances the pressures of fame to create a good life for his kids. “It’s pretty easy,” Ryan said. “I don’t work all the time, so months go by when I’m at home with the kids full time. It’s not that much of a challenge.”

It’s been an eventful year for the handsome actor. Reese recently wed Hollywood agent Jim Toth, and Ryan is rumored to have moved on with girlfriend Amanda Seyfried, 25. But controversy struck again when ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp revealed she was pregnant with Ryan’s child in March. Until the baby is born in June, Ryan is reportedly waiting for a paternity test to confirm that he is indeed the father. But The Bang Bang Club’s director, Steven Silver, is fully convinced that Ryan will handle all of his challenges with strength and dignity. “Ryan is tough as hell,” Steven told In Touch. “He’s had a lot of stuff thrown at him, and he just handles it.”
