Back in May of last year, Patrick Dempsey dropped the bombshell that he wouldn’t be returning to ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘, but it seems he’s having a change of heart.

The biggest point for me in negotiations is getting time off to come race, so if I don’t miss races, I’ll probably stay on Grey’s Anatomy.  The show’s doing really well. We were number one on Thursday night, so it continues to get a lot of legs. ABC hasn’t had a show this year that has kind of stepped up. We’re certainly talking about the future.

This sounds like that typical “we’re in money negotiations” talk, doesn’t it?  Hopefully they can come to an agreement because fans will not be too happy to see McDreamy leave anytime soon!

Patrick Dempsey, “Grey’s Anatomy” star, heads to his classic Mercedes-Benz convertible after having lunch at Tra Di Noi at the Malibu Country Mart yesterday.

Patrick Dempsey is taking time out from Grey’s Anatomy to have a heart-to-heart with some alien robots, joining John Malkovich and Frances McDormand as the latest addition to the cast of Transformers 3, director Michael Bay’s third entry in his high-octane blockbuster franchise.

A rep for Paramount Pictures confirmed to E! News that Dempsey will play Megan Fox’s boss, a part simply said to be “significant to the plot.”

Sources claim that Patrick is looking to leave Grey’s Anatomy, this role may help transition him out of the ABC drama.

Patrick Dempsey may not be a real doctor, but that isn’t stopping him from helping save lives!

Yesterday, the Grey’s Anatomy star, 42, gave the Central Maine Medical Center — in his hometown of Lewiston — $250,000 for a spanking new cancer center.

The CMMC has special meaning for Dr. McDreamy: Not only was he born in the hospital, but his mom, Amanda, has been treated there twice for ovarian cancer, which is now in remission.

Dubbed The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, the facility opens March 31. Oh, and one more heartwarming note: the center will be managed by Patrick’s sister, Mary Dempsey!
