Mischa’s Lawyer: Let’s Make a Deal

Mischa Barton’s DUI case was granted a continuance in a Beverly Hills court today, but her lawyer tells PageSix.com that he hopes to make a deal before the next hearing on April 10.

The former O.C. star was charged with driving under the influence, possession of 28.5 grams of marijuana (a misdemeanor) and being an unlicensed driver in connection with her arrest in West Hollywood on December 27, 2007.

Her lawyer Anthony Salerno tells PageSix.com that Mischa is taking the charges seriously but was very relieved that she wasn’t charged with a felony for the marijuana possession.

It’s expected that the court will accept a deal that will see the 22-year-old getting standard probation and being required to attend an alcohol awareness class.
