Maggie Gyllenhaal was photographed on her way to dropping off daughter Ramona at school this morning in NYC.

I really want to hate on Maggie’s boot-clog-shoes, but I just can’t.  She’s pregnant with baby #2 (I keep forgetting!) and if she’s comfy in these then I’ll leave her be.

Also, I probably wouldn’t dislike them quite as much if she’d worn them with a different outfit.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is to star in a film about the origins of a sex toy.

The actress is reportedly in talks to take the lead role in “Hysteria”, a Victorian-era drama which examines the invention of the vibrator in the 1870s. The screenplay is based on the mid-19th Century medical idea that some women suffered from ‘hysteria’, a condition which encompassed symptoms such as irritability, anger and lack of sleep.

Medics treated their patients with a manual pelvic massage, but over time a clockwork, then electric, device was created to do the job, developments which the film will explore.

According to Daily Mail newspaper columnist Baz Bamigboye, Rupert Everett, Hugh Dancy and Jonathan Pryce are also in negotiations to star in the film.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard said “I do” over the weekend, Usmagazine.com has exclusively confirmed.

“We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2,” her rep tell Usmagazine.com.

Gyllenhaal, 31, and Sarsgaard, 38, tied the knot at a small chapel at luxury hotel Masseria in Brindisi near Rome, Italy.

Among the 40 guests? Maggie’s brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, and his girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon.

Gyllenhaal has dated Sarsgaard — a close friend of Jake’s — for seven years. In April 2006, they announced their engagement.

The couple has a daughter Ramona, 2, and they live in Brooklyn, New York.

“Motherhood is incredible,” she told Britain’s Tatler last August. “It’s brought me to my knees in an incredible way – it’s so humbling.”

Asked if she and Sarsgaard had plans to wed, she said, “At some point in the next 20.”
