Here’s Gwen Stefani looking awesome (as usual) as she arrives in London, England by Eurostar train from Paris today. Upon arrival she was mobbed by fans and photographers, of course.
We LOVE her ska inspired outfit of cherry red Doc Martins with a black and white patched trench. Of course, Stefani’s never seen without her signature bright red lipstick and usually a cute pair of sunglasses.
As someone who loves the 90’s, I love how Stefani takes a 90’s sensibility and updates it! Brilliant!

…after penning the official track for the Olympics, titled ‘Survival’, it’s going to be Brit band MUSE!
Drummer Dom Howard tells MME:
“I’m happy with the song. It’s a proper Muse song…It’s not something we just did for the Olympics. They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [playing the] closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is”.
The line-up for the closing ceremony is being very closely guarded: only Muse, Ed Sheeran, and George Michael have confirmed that they, in fact, will be performing. The Who, Take That, and the Spice Girls are all rumoured to be appear at the event. The theme of the closing ceremony is 50 years of British music…and we’re excited to see who will show up!
Who do YOU Think will be in the games?

While two-time gold medal winner Gabby Douglas should be celebrating and focusing on her next events- some people are coming down on her hard for her choice of hairstyle!
The 16-year-old’s hair is under major for for its appearance and supposed failure to “represent” the African American community, critics say.
Douglas’ hair is chemically-straightened and pulled into a ponytail with barrettes and gel. Since gymnastics involves a lot of motion (obviously) the ponytail is tight and the hair held down by product. Gabby’s hair matches the coifs of her four Caucasian “Fab Five” teammates Aly Raisman, Mckayla Maroney, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber. It’s not just the style, though- many African-American women are bashing her for her hair being straightened, and would prefer her hair to be in curls, free-flowing, or in braids.
Of course Gabby’s awesome mom, Natalie Hawkins, quickly came to the defense of her champion daughter.
“It’s really been African American women that have come out and attacked her,” claimed Hawkins of the tweeters who criticized Douglas. “They don’t know about gymnastics. She has to keep her hair in a ponytail 28 to 30 hours a week. We grew her hair out because she preferred long hair. I’m not going to make her cut her hair just to please someone else.”
Nor should she! I get that the African-American community wants Gabby to represent them, but she’s just a teenager who wants to do well in gymnastics! Can’t she wear her hair the way she prefers it, and it not get interpreted as some grandiose statement about race? Sheesh!

Looks like Jude Law and former flame Sadie Frost are on good terms!
The 39-year-old British actor was seen carrying a piece of art into Frost’s London home today, her birthday. The art looked African in nature- but it’s kind of hard to say, from so far away! Frost, who turns 47, celebrated earlier in the day by grabbing lunch with friend Kate Moss at a restaurant in Primrose Hill.
Frost and Law divorced in 2003, after six years of marriage. The couple has two children together: Iris and Rudy.
