Katy Perry is traveling around the world promoting her new single, “Part Of Me”. She stopped by Radio 1 this morning.
When talking to host Chris Moyles about her trip to England, Katy said she stays grounded because she always brings friends whenever she travels. She said: “I bring my friends with me everywhere. That’s my favorite luxury to have. They are so solid and centred and don’t give a c*** about the hubbub that goes on. I don’t have fast friends. I don’t have a lot of those. I’m guarded for all the right reasons. People want to be your mate, your chum, but they have to earn it with me.”
Katy also added that she loves her British ‘Katy Cats’, saying: ‘I love the people of England, they’re so lovely, they care, they mean well.
‘Maybe they talk c*** behind your back, but they’re so sweet to your face.’
Katy later performed during Radio 1′s Live Lounge, treating fans to a rendition of the controversial Jay Z and Kanye West collaboration N****s in Paris.’
However, instead of using the proper song lyrics, Katy exchanged the word for ninjas.
While Katy is doing her best to promote her solo material at the moment, it was recently reported that she is planning to team up with best friend Rihanna on a new track.
Rihanna was quoted as telling Theglobalgrind.com: ‘We have been working on this for years. We still are trying to make a song together. She is one of my favorite musicians, as well as one of my favorite people in the industry.
‘Katy is very uncalculated, very sure of herself, and that’s something very rare in this industry to find. The song will probably come out in a while. I won’t say that it’s happening right now, but it’s going to happen.’
I would love to hear a Katy/Rihanna duet! That would be great!
PS: What do we think of Katy’s style these days?
