Kim Kardashian and ex-husband Kris Humphries received over $100,000 in wedding presents when they were married in August. When their marriage fizzled after only 72 days, many might wonder about all those gifts they received. What’s the right thing to do? Keep them? Return them? Kim decided to keep the gifts, but donate all the money that was spent on her to a charity she’s passionate about.

Kim Kardashian is making lemonade out of lemons. The reality star, 31, and husband Kris Humphries received about $100,000 worth of wedding gifts back in August, but they famously called it quits after just 72 days, with Kardashian filing for divorce Oct. 31.

But Kardashian wrote all of her wedding guests a thank-you note. As obtained by TMZ, the letter reads “I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift. It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation.”

A source confirms to Us that Kardashian wrote a check to the Dream Foundation worth double the value of her expensive gifts. (While Kardashian and Humphries, 26, kept the actual gifts, the source explains that the Dream Foundation, like most charities, could make far better use of the money versus high-priced vases and blenders.)

Similar to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Dream Foundation, founded in 1993, is a “wish-granting organization” for adults (from paying bills to creating happy memories to providing emotional support) with life-threatening illnesses.

“Our dreamers have received a life expectancy of one year or less, and lack the resources to achieve their dreams on their own,” the charity’s website explains. “While we cannot cure their diseases, we can dramatically impact the quality of their fragile lives with the joy experienced from a dream come true.”

At least one good thing came out of their disastrous wedding!

Kim Kardashian graces the March issue of Allure Magazine. According to Kim, the shoot was different, because they were going for “a very low-key, natural look.” By that she must mean she didn’t cake on 100 layers of makeup like she normally does. I’ve always said Kim looks so much more beautiful looking like this. No spider-leg lashes, no more orange foundation, no more caked on eye makeup. This look suits her so much more. In the interview she opens up about some of the same ol’ stuff she typically talks about.

On having children: “Do I want kids of my own? Absolutely. But I don’t know if that’s what’s meant for me. Maybe I’ll just work, work, work, and not think about it.”

On her 72-day marriage: “Is it tough to watch [the show]? Yeah. Tough to see an unhappy time in your life. Do I think there are more haters than before? Not really. But I think this has given them a platform to have a louder voice.”

Reality TV: “Will I be more private of a person? Am I more guarded? Absolutely,” she says. “But, also, I’m a firm believer that my show is who I am. People [think] because you film your life on a reality show, you live everything for the cameras. But we all have limits. My mom has no limits. We need someone, right, to have no limits? That’s my mom. When I saw Khloé and Lamar get married—and they had their wedding on TV—I thought, Oh, my gosh, that’s so exciting! That’s what I want! If you were to ask me now, that’s not what I want.”

On dating again: If Kardashian has regrets about sharing so much of her personal life on camera, she doesn’t dwell on them. Still, she says, the experience “definitely made me want to be more private with my relationship, whenever I choose to get into one again. I’m not ready, but when that time comes, I’ll be more cautious about who I let my world open up to.”

“Joking” about surrogacy: “Khloé joked with me and said, ‘Will you be my surrogate?’ I said, ‘I think I have a couple more years when I just want my body to myself. At 35, I promise I’ll consider it.’”

On getting married again: “I would just want it to be so special, with our family and close friends, and that’s it. Somewhere on a deserted island, very private,” she says, lowering her gaze. “No cameras.”

I can’t believe she’s already talking about getting married again. Twice married already, Kim shouldn’t marry again for a very long time.

Kim Kardashian stepped out in a bikini for the first time since splitting from her ex-husband, Kris Humphries.

Life & Style has photos of Kim’s solo Miami vacation in early February.

“Kim feels like she’s trapped in a nightmare that just won’t end,” Kardashian’s friend revealed in the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. “Every time she thinks things are getting better, something awful happens and she goes back into a pit of depression.”

Although the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” ringleader used her Miami vacation to do some independent soul-searching, she reportedly had a little help in Beverly Hills. According to TMZ, Kardashian recently met up with ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush for a lunch date. But is the pair ready to reconcile and pick up where they left off? Although the ex-flames were more than happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs on their outing, Kardashian has yet to give any indication that she’s ready to start dating again.

I wonder if that’s a Kardashian – line bikini? It’s super cute (don’t tell anyone I said that).

Kris Humphries is threatening to expose Kim Kardashian for the girl she really is…. a fake!

Her biggest secret could very well come to fruition – that her trademark booty is in fact an optical illusion and Kris has the photos in his cell phone to prove it.

“Kris told his buddies that it takes a lot of work for Kim to make her bottom look as good as it does,” reveals an insider. “Kris revealed all her secrets – how she uses booty pads, Spanx and other things to enhance it. When she takes off the Spanx, the pads and everything else, it’s not the same. He knows what the real thing looks like because he’s reported it on his cell phone camera!”

The subject of Kim’s weight and physical appearance has always been an easy target for Kris, having taunted Kim about her weight and un-toned body. Note to the new hubby  – not the most ideal topic to target if trying to avoid a divorce….

Since finding out about his divorce to Kim Kardashian and his future NBA career in jeopardy, it seems Kris Humphries is exploring other avenues.

He can thank his soon-to-be ex-wifey for the profile boost because now the job offers are rolling in. Chippendales Las Vegas have been in contact with Kris and offered him the roll as MC for the premier ladies entertainment show in Vegas.

“We figured since he was unemployed and soon-to-be former husband of Kim Kardashian, a gig at Chippendales might be the perfect job to help restore his faith in women,” revealed a rep from the show.

Kris will have some serious decisions to make with another offer from LocalHotClassifieds.com to match his earnings on Keeping Up with the Kardashians if the buff New Jersey Netter will become their spokesperson.

The NBA star is keeping a low profile in the midst of all the media hype and is keeping his distance from Vegas after cancelling an appearance this Saturday at Chateau Nightclub with organizers releasing the following statement: “Kris Humphries has cancelled his engagement on Saturday night at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens. We support his decision and recognize this has been a difficult week for Kim and Kris, and look forward to having him back when he is ready.”

Maybe he’s trying to avoid a conflict of interest!?

This just in - Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce this morning! Ryan Seacrest, who is close to the reality star just tweeted the confirmation. “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins”

I’m not terribly surprised, but I’m a bit shocked how quickly this went down! They didn’t even last 3 months!! The couple even hit the red carpet together just 9 days ago!!

Kim Kardashian will file for divorce this morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries … TMZ has learned.

We’re told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It’s a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites “irreconcilable differences.”

We’re told the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.

Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel’s almost ex-wife.

As we first reported, the couple has a prenuptial agreement … Kim made sure of that.

Rumors of a split had been swirling for some time and the two were spotted out to dinner earlier this week … looking less than pleased with one another.

This news makes me CRAZY….. what this girl wouldn’t do for a little fame. It’s DISGUSTING. If Kris Jenner can find a way to profit off this divorce, believe me – she will.
