Kirsten Dunst, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart and boyfriend Robert Pattinson were all on hand last night for the Cannes premiere of ‘On the Road’.
Kristen wore a dress by Balenciaga (again), and looks really beautiful. Boyfriend Robert Pattinson flew in to be with Kristen at the premiere. (SEE SOME PICTURES OF THEM KISSING AT CANNES HERE! I don’t have rights to the pictures – but they’re good!)
Kirsten Dunst is wearing a pink dress by Dior. I think she looks beautiful, but no where near as beautiful as she looked earlier.
Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Stewart were spotted yesterday at Cannes Film Festival, promoting their new movie, ‘On the Road’.
Kirsten looks absolutely stunning. She’s wearing a gorgeous dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Has she ever looked better? I’m loving her hair, makeup, headband (I want that!!) and shoes!
Kristen looks cute too, she’s wearing pants by Balenciaga.
Apparently there’s a rumor going around that actors Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst are engaged. Not so fast, says Garrett’s rep. According to his rep, the couple is NOT engaged.
Editors at Star magazine ran with the engagement news this week, claiming Hedlund popped the question to the actress at her 30th birthday party at Los Angeles hotspot Chateau Marmont on April 30.
A source said, “(He) asked her to marry him. She thought he was kidding because there was no engagement ring – but he told her one would be coming soon, and they kissed passionately for about a minute. Everyone applauded!”
But a spokesperson for the “TRON: Legacy” hunk has dismissed the rumors, telling WENN, “(The report is) so not true.”
Hedlund and Dunst met on the set of “On the Road,” the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the Jack Kerouac book, and went public with their romance at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January.
Here are some more pictures from last night’s Met Gala.
Here we have Kate Bosworth, who wore a feathered Prada gown. She attended with her boyfriend, director Michael Polish. Emily Blunt showed up in a pink Calvin Klein dress (love it!), alongside husband John Krasinski. Sarah Jessica Parker attended with designer Valentino, who also designed the dress she was wearing. Eva Mendes wore a reddish/orange Prada dress. Amy Adams wore a white Giambattista Valli Couture dress. Malin Ackerman wore a metallic dress by Diane von Furstenberg.
Jessica Alba stunned in a golden Michael Kors dress. Hilary Swank wore a red Michael Kors dress. Kirsten Dunst wore an odd Rodarte blazer and skirt combo. Leighton Meester wore a huge tulle dress by Marchesa. Diane Kruger wore a purple dress by Prada.
Mary-Kate Olsen wore a dress from her own line, The Row. She just looks BIZARRE. Her hair looks AWFUL!
I have something really embarrassing to admit. I’ve never read ‘On the Road’. I actually own it, I’ve just never sat down and read it. I know it’s one of those books that I must read, I just haven’t done it yet. After reading about this movie, and learning more about the book, I realize how important it is to sit down and read the Jack Kerouac book. I’m going to have to read it before I watch the movie.
Anyway, this movie has been done for quite some time, and we’re just now getting our first look at the trailer. I’m not sure what took so long. Maybe they were trying to put some space between Kristen Stewart’s last Twilight film – and this one? Who knows. I hope the reason it’s been shelved for so long – isn’t that the movie is awful. It looks like it could be interesting. Kristen actually doesn’t look like Bella in this movie, either (like she does in her new Snow White movie).
British actor Sam Riley stars as Sal Paradise, the narrator based on Kerouac himself, and “Tron: Legacy’s” Garrett Hedlund plays Dean Moriarty.
Also receiving top billing is “Twilight’s” Kristen Stewart, who plays Moriarty’s 16-year-old first wife Marylou. Will Stewart remove her bottom lip from in between her teeth and do the role justice? That remains to be seen. (The fact that her shirtlessness in the trailer is getting press bodes well for ticket sales.)
Those who love “On the Road” may be weary of any attempt to bring it the big screen. For what it’s worth, Kerouac — who was born 90 years ago today — wrote a letter to Marlon Brando in 1957 asking him to play Moriarty in a film. Brando, sadly, never replied.
One thing the film has going for it is Walter Salles, who directed another road story movie, “The Motorcycle Diaries.” It also boasts an impressive supporting cast, including Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Elisabeth Moss and Terrence Howard.
I love awards season! So many reasons to love and hate on celeb fashion! I see several hits and a few misses at last night’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, held at the Hollywood Palladium.
In attendance: Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Williams, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Evan Rachel Wood, Tilda Swinton, Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen and more!
Who do you think knocked it out of the park? And who failed?
