Jason Derulo called time on his relationship with Jordin Sparks over the phone. First off, that is a total douche move. After three years, their relationship wasn’t deserving of a sit down talk? Secondly, rumors made their way around the internet that he’d cheated on her, but he’s playing the denial game. Still, she is taking it all in stride. She has seemingly cut all ties with him — and rightfully so.
Basically since the breakup, he’s doing the media rounds in order to blab, blab, blab about their failed romance….which is so tacky. He opened up about his thoughts on the reason behind their split and apparently he felt some pressure to marry Jordin. In addition, he said that they argued a lot.
On the topic of cheating, he said, “No, man. The rumors got to the extent where it was like, I got this one girl pregnant. There was none of that. We had our problems in our relationship. Every relationship has its ups and downs. When you start having more downs than ups you have to take a look at your relationship and be like ‘is this something I’m supposed to be doing?'”
With regard to the marriage pressure, he said, “Just going back to what went wrong, there was a lot of pressure from the marriage perspective. The song [Marry Me] was saying ‘when the time is right’ you know what I’m saying? I don’t want to say that’s why… there was a lot of different small things that made our relationship… sour.”
I just despise anyone who breaks up with someone over the phone and then goes on a press tour to talk about it. It’s almost like he feels that their relationship woes are to be shared with the world in order for him to promote whatever it is he’s working on. Tacky, tacky, tacky.
