Jessica Simpson turned 31 yesterday, and her fiance Eric Johnson gave her a huge present!

I’m not a fan of this gigantic Hermes Birkin. I don’t mind the Birkin – if it’s smaller, this is just too dang big and orange in my opinion.

Jessica tweeted, “It is only 1pm and i think i have pretty much heard from everyone in my life!! That is a birthday record!! Huge smile on my face! Eric made my birthday!!! I have never been more surprised in my life! Jackie O who? ”

Apparently the bag costs $15,000. That is just ridiculous… RIDIC!

Jessica Simpson lands another reality show!

Jessica has signed on to bring her fashion sense to the small screen as a mentor on NBC’s new reality show, ‘Fashion Star’.

According to E! Online, Simpson will act as a fashion guru on the reality show, which will follow 14 aspiring designers angling to get funding for their own lines. Elle McPherson will host the program, which will be taped in front of a live audience and allow viewers to buy the winning designs after each week’s challenge.

The winner will receive a multimillion-dollar contract to have their designs sold in three large American retailers — something Simpson knows quite a bit about.

It was recently revealed that Simpson, who is best known for her singing career, is well on her way to making a billion dollars in revenue this year from her own fashion line, the Jessica Simpson Collection.

“Jessica Simpson has built an incredible fashion business and is a perfect mentor to our aspiring designers,” said Ben Silverman, who will produce the show with his company, Electus, along with The Magical Elves and 5X5 Media.

Simpson, who is getting ready to walk down the aisle with Johnson, also just announced plans to create a tween fashion line with her younger sister, Ashlee.

Music star and lifestyle mogul Jessica Simpson is all smiles when it comes to being the bride-to-be of football stud Eric Johnson.

“It’s the best year of my life,” the star told Access Hollywood on Saturday at Tom Everhart’s “Peanuts”-themed new art exhibit, “Crashing the Party: The Arty-Fact Paintings,” in New York City.

“You better say the same!” Jessica joked with Eric, who was by her side at the event.

“Ditto, ditto!” Eric quickly added.

“She’s just a regular, grounded, down to earth person and I like it,” he said of his future wife. “Beautiful, beautiful.”

Jessica – who previously told Access that her wedding dress would “out-do” Kate Middleton’s headline-making Royal Wedding gown – has changed her tune about competing with the Princess.

“I absolutely adore Kate’s dress, I thought she looked absolutely beautiful, there’s no bride that can top a Royal Wedding,” she told Access. “I’m not going to be wearing the same kind of thing, but it will be beautiful in it’s own right.”

In case you didn’t know, Jessica got engaged to Eric, a former NFL player, in November 2010. Their wish is to wed by Christmas 2011!!

When is Jessica Simpson getting married? Soon – we think.

“We’re along! How far along? We’re along,” she told MTV News at the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style issue party Tuesday night in L.A.

As far as the dress is concerned, Simpson, who happens to be clothing designer, said, “No! I haven’t picked out the dress. That’s stressful for me. Like it has to be seasonal, so I have to really figure out the date and I kind of have so now it’s full force, full force wedding dress mode. Kate, you wish!”

Speaking of the royal wedding, what would Ms. Simpson get the happy couple for their nuptials? “The wedding gown I would have!” she declared.

For the record, Jessica Simpson has knocked out seven studio albums, starred in two reality shows, played in six feature films, and she heads a billion-dollar fashion empire. So what’s the next business move for the 30-year-old star? Broadway? Of course not!

Just popsicles!

“A line of popsicles! A popsicle would be really good right now,” Simpson told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column while being honored as Style Icon of the Year at Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood party on Tuesday evening.

Simpson said popsicles definitely trump a long Broadway run, the timeworn venue for actors and singers looking to leave their comfort zone.

“[I wouldn’t do Broadway] because I like to always switch it up, I can’t stay in a regimen,” she said. “A line of popsicles would be a lot easier.”

Putting business aside, Jessica is also excited about being a bride-to-be. But her future husband, NFL player Eric Johnson, better watch out!

“I’m planning my own, who doesn’t plan their own wedding?,” she said. “The best part is that my groom will say ‘I do.’”

Once she’s hitched, her husband may want to watch out, as Simpson plans to go down Nicole Richie‘s TMI Twitter route.

“I do love Twitter, and I would say one of my favorite people to follow is Nicole Richie,” she said. “I think Nicole Richie is always straight up, really funny. She makes me laugh all the time, and she posts cool pics and makes fun of her husband, and I love it.”
