What a difference a dress makes! Jessica looks gorgeous at the launch of her new denim line, at Macy’s in NYC!

The blonde beauty was launching the Jessica Simpson Collection as part of the store’s new Find Your Magic advertising campaign, which has featured Jennifer Lopez and Martha Stewart in the past.

She invited her fans to show up to the launch wearing her denim – she then posted pictures on her Twitter. She wrote “Everyone looks amazing in their denim! I’m so proud.”

Simpson was drawn to design a denim line after a barrage of negative criticism she received for wearing unflattering jeans in January of 2009. She insists she’s very hands on with the design process.

She told the Charlotte Observer: ‘I am very involved in the design process. It’s something my mother and I work on together. From inspiration, to color palette, to design, to fit, and final approval – we set the tone each season. I touch every item in the collection and wear them, too. So it’s always a compliment when people tell me the collection looks like me – it means we have all done our job well.”

She says that filming her VH1 reality show Price of Beauty helped her come to terms with her naturally curvy body.

“I’m not going to ever be size 0, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds. It’s a really hard thing for me to talk about because I celebrate women of all sizes. I think that we’re all beautiful. I love my curves.”

Jessica Simpson was snapped leaving her NYC hotel with boyfriend, Eric Johnson yesterday afternoon. She was off to launch her new Jessica Simpson Collection at Macy’s.

She went on to Tweet how happy she was about the turnout. “What a great night!!!” she wrote on Twitter. “Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting the line.”

After the launch, the couple went to Lavo, where they celebrated Eric’s 31st birthday. Jessica Tweeted: “It’s Eric’s birthday!!!! Party in NYC!!!!!”

Can this be true? Can BFF’s Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves have hit a rough patch?

A source close to Jessica Simpson tells E! that the once best friends are “over”. They had problems over the summer, and Paves is no longer speaking to Simpson over “something petty.”

“They’ve had a major fight,” the Simpson insider tells E! News. “Jessica’s devastated over it, she loves Ken. He just won’t speak to her at all.”

Simpson tried to make amends, even inviting Paves along to her 30th birthday party in Capri in July, where she brought along her family, girlfriends and new boyfriend Eric Johnson for a relaxing getaway.

Paves, who was always Jessica’s shoulder to cry on though her many loves and losses, turned her down.

“She was so upset,” says the source.

Along with some other drama, Jessica is said to be upset that Ken has been tweeting his love for his other galpal, Eva Longoria, calling her his “best friend.”

“Jessica was heartbroken, they were so close. Maybe one of them will come around,” the source says.

I secretly love watching the two of them. I watched ever episode of Jessica’s VH1 show Price of Beauty and they were hilarious together. They’ve also collaborated on Paves’ clip-on hair extensions, Hairdo.

He insists there’s no rift between the two, telling E! News he’s been unable to travel to see her because of projects.

“Jessica and I are definitely still friends. Jess is very supportive of my other relationships as I am of hers! The truth is we have both been busy and on different schedules,” he says. “I know Jessica is very excited for me! I’ve brought her dad Joe on to manage these projects. It’s all in the family! We are all definitely still friends…”

Jessica Simpson will appear on the season finale of Project Runway as the guest judge! Here she is leaving the Project Runway show this afternoon in NYC!

In a shimmering gray mini-dress, Simpson joined judges Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Heidi Klum on the catwalk, then got down to business, evaluating the looks of the show’s finalists. But since only six Runway episodes have aired so far on Lifetime, all 10 of the remaining designers presented collections so that the results of the finale will not be revealed.

Mondo‘s collection was full of pink and polka dots, while Gretchen went with more muted tones.Valerie‘s playful dresses and vests were right out of a Katy Perry video, and her pal Ivy presented a beach-inspired collection. Andy, April, Casanova, Christopher, Michael C. and Michael D. shared their lines, as well.
