Expectant mom Jessica Simpson is promoting her new show ‘Fashion Star’ and shared with reporters that she is a sugar fiend when it comes to her pregnancy cravings.

“I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning.  I’m eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n’ Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap’n Crunch. Everything’s filled with sugar.”

Jessica says she’s not denying herself at all:

“I’m like, ‘Yeah, I can do it. We’ll worry about the rest afterwards.’”

She reportedly has a deal to work with Weight Watchers post-baby, so I’m sure she’ll have a training type team working with her afterwards.

Jess also shares that she still plans to keep the baby’s gender a surprise:

“I feel like it’s already going to be a shock. Like, ‘Whoa! I just pushed that out!’ You know?”

Jessica Simpson let it slip during an interview with US Weekly that she her little bundle of joy is going to be a boy.

In the interview she talks about her announcement of her pregnancy and how she came up with the imaginative idea of revealing it to the world (me thinks Beyonce may have been a slight influence) – dressing as a ‘mummy’ for Halloween and in the midst of her chatter she let it slip.

“My kid’s going to think I’m pretty cool!” she boasted. “This is a cool think to welcome him to the world with.”

And an expert has now predicted that the singer, TV reality star and fashion designer is around six months pregnant.

Simpson, 31, has yet to say she is pregnant as she reportedly tried to secure $500,000 for a magazine deal to make the annoucement.

Boston-based gynaecologist, Dr Dave David, told Radar Online that Simpson is heading into her third trimester, with her and fiance Eric Johnson expecting their first child early next year.

“She looks to be 26 weeks, which is around six months,” he told Radar Online.

‘It is definitely a pregnancy and not weight gain. You can by the shape of her abdomen, her belly wouldn’t be that rounded if it was just fat.

“She is short so the bump looks bigger because it has no where to go but out.”

Sources told the New York Post that Simpson’s manager father Joe is asking for $500,000 for his daughter to confirm she is pregnant with her fiance, former NFL star Eric Johnson.

A PR expert told Radar Online that Simpson does not have the “star power” to secure such a figure.

Nicole Richie sold the first photographs of her baby Harlow for a reported $1m while Christina Aguilera demanded double that for snaps of her baby Max on the cover of People magazine.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh earned her mummy and daddy in the region of $4m – although they did give the proceeds to charity.

Simpson was set to wed Johnson in November, but the couple have postponed the wedding with sources claiming the delay is due to Simpson being pregnant.

The couple, who have been together for two years, became engaged in November 2010.

For those of you unfamiliar with the celebrity photo-trafficking game, the idea of a star selling out her kid is not a new one. What is eye-opening is Simpson’s reported asking fee.

In recent years, we’ve seen Nicole Richie sell the first photos of baby Harlow for a reported $1 million, and Christina Aguilera raked in a reported $2 million for splashing baby Max on the cover of People. And of course, baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt earned her parents an estimated $4 million, with the proceeds going to charity. But nowadays, in the current economic climate, most stars know better than to ask for six figures for a photo, unless both parents are ridiculously famous, and both of those parents work constantly, and the baby’s last name rhymes with Folie-Zitt.

In contrast, Simpson “doesn’t have anything super relevant going on right now,” points out 5W publicist Ronn Torossian, who is credited with negotiating photo sales on behalf of La Jolie. “And the father of the baby, Simpson’s fiancé, is a retired former football player; nobody knows who he is.

“It’s a badly kept secret that she’s pregnant, and I would be amazed if she got that much money.”

Do not confuse Simpson’s current B-list status with a dwindling bank account. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Simpson’s name is licensed to 22 different kinds of products — products that earned $750 million in retail sales in 2010.

So, to sum up what we know so far: Simpson is both sort-of famous and obscenely wealthy, and she apparently wants to use her maybe-pregnancy to make a half-million bucks.

There is one other possible explanation for Simpson’s reported asking price: She thinks she’s Beyoncé. Of the current crop of babymaking stars out there, we’re told, Mrs. Jay-Z is the one celebrity who could still command top dollar if she so desired. Or, more like a million top dollars.

Jessica Simpson has just returned home from a Mexican vacation with her fiance, and rumors that the singer is pregnant are getting louder. I haven’t gotten my hands on the pics yet, but apparently there are pictures of her looking mighty pregnant. (Here’s a hint)

I’m not sure what I think, but Jess is definitely looking fuller – and I do find it suspect that she’s put her wedding on hold. I think she’s going to have this baby, lose the baby weight THEN get married.

In the past week, multiple media outlets have reported that Jessica Simpson is pregnant. Now an eyewitness tells Life & Style that that’s exactly the way Jessica’s acting!

The fan, who spotted the singer having lunch with fiancé Eric Johnson in LA on Oct. 2, told Life & Style exclusively, “I definitely think she’s pregnant.”

After watching Jessica wolf down chicken-fried steak (which is 2,084 calories, according to the restaurant’s menu), a pizza and a “pizookie” (a big chocolate-chip-cookie dessert clocking in at 887 calories) at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Century City, the onlooker admits she could draw only one conclusion.

“She ordered a ton of food. She has to be pregnant,” said the onlooker, adding, “She didn’t have any alcohol to drink, either. There looked to be a cocktail on the table, but I didn’t see her drink it. She was sipping a Perrier and nibbling off her fiancé’s plate — the cocktail was obviously Eric’s.”

If her appetite is anything to go by, it seems that Jess’ dreams are coming true.

“I definitely see myself having a family with him,” Jess has said of Eric, to whom she got engaged in November 2010 after six months of dating. “So that’s exciting to think about.”

Sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are going into the fashion business together. According to E! the pair are collaborating on a juniors’ collection.

“We have a teen line that we’ve been working on together that’s launching in October,” she revealed backstage at the Herve Leger show at Fashion Week today.

So where will it retail?

“It’s going to be in Macy’s,” Ash revealed. “It’s so fun to work together! It’s a family show…it’s fun to have the 15-year-olds come in and dress them up.”

One thing she didn’t spill any deets on is her sister’s upcoming wedding to Eric Johnson. If Ash knows anything about the big day, she isn’t telling.

“Not that I know of…they’re so hush hush!” she said.

Ashlee looks absolutely adorable in that black dress. She was spotted leaving a Fashion Show yesterday as part of Fashion Week. Meanwhile, big sister Jessica was 3000 miles away having dinner with her fiance in Los Angeles.

According to In Touch it’s true (but I’m not buying it for a second). Jessica loves her chesticles, not thinking she’s going to downsize anytime soon.

Most women would kill for killer cleavage. But not Jessica Simpson. The singer is so distraught over her fuller-than-ever figure, she’s telling friends that she’s going under the knife. “She thinks that if she downsizes her breasts, she will look smaller,” a friend of Jessica’s tells In Touch.

The only question in Jessica’s mind, says the friend, is when. “She hasn’t decided if she’ll get it done before the wedding,” says the pal. “She wants to, but she fears being laid up for a week or more so close to the date.”

As In Touch has reported, Jessica and fiancé Eric Johnson, 32, had asked friends and family to reserve November 11, but she’s reconsidering. “She’s in such limbo about what to do,” says the friend of Jessica, who another insider tells In Touch is terrified of being a “plus-size bride” (even though she’s not really even plus-size!). Says the insider: “Jessica wants to waltz down the aisle — not waddle.”

However, despite attempts to slim down, she’s heavier than ever. “Jessica used to never be able to resist looking in mirrors, but now she avoids them like the plague,” says the insider, who puts her current weight at the “wrong side of 140 pounds.”

Even a pre-wedding escape to Mexico (on August 25) did nothing to boost her spirits. Jessica, 31, who packed flowing caftans in place of sexy bikinis, “is at her wit’s end,” says the insider. “If the weight doesn’t come off soon, she might either call off her wedding or get surgery. She’s that desperate.” Predicts the friend, “If she does postpone, breast reduction is on her to-do list.”
