Jessica Alba Lunching With The Kiddies!

Here’s Jessica Alba and her daughters, Haven and Honor, out for lunch at Bubbly’s in New York City!

Maybe I gush too much, but doesn’t Alba look fab? Geez, even her nanny/assistant looks adorable.  Alba seems like she’s patiently dealing with her kids,  both from hubby Cash Warren, in order to have a nice lunch out.  And of course,  Jessica’s always looking relaxed chic in a sundress and small pullover, loose hair in a bun and stylish sunglasses.

Chic mom alert!

Jessica Alba opens up about being “objectified” as an actress in the new Marie Claire

Jessica Alba lands the June cover of Marie Claire. I think the cover and inside photo are both beautiful! She looks great.

In the interview, Jessica opens up about how awful it is to be considered “sexy” (poor thing), and how that made her feel objectified.

On being typecast as sexy: “I had a show [Fox’s ‘Dark Angel’] that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected…I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!”

On gaining confidence: “Now that I’m older, I’ve learned how to own it, but I’m still not very overt. There are some women who dress for men. I dress for myself. It took me some time to get here. Being a mom and feeling grown-up have helped. Now if I’m going to wear something short, it has to have a high neck or a little sci-fi toughness to it, an edge.”

On her former sexy image: “I like to get positive attention. But if I have a choice between someone noticing in a negative way what I’m wearing and going, What was she thinking? or someone not noticing what I’m wearing, I would rather not make a statement at all and just have a good conversation instead.”

Thing that also must be tough for Alba is she’s actually a pretty horrible actress. If she were hot AND a good actress, that would be something. But she’s really not – so she gets all the stupid “hot girl” roles smarter actresses might steer away from. So maybe now is a good time to focus on her The Honest Company, and skip acting for a bit.

Jessica Simpson breaks her silence after delivering her daughter, Maxwell.

Jessica Simpson gave birth to her baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johsnon on May 1st, and up until now the ‘Fashion Star’ host has remained pretty quiet. Until now! Simpson took to her Twitter page to let her 5 million plus followers an update on her baby girl.

“I am so in love with baby Maxwell,” the singer and Fashion Star mentor, 31, wrote Tuesday. “I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I’ve ever experienced.”

Maxwell, her first child with fiance Eric Johnson, arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles the morning of May 1, and weighed a whopping 9 lbs., 13 oz.

And, as Simpson recuperated at the hospital after Maxwell’s arrival, her maternal instincts kicked in — and then some!

“Everyone is marveling at what a natural Jessica is,” a source told Us. “She was born to be a mom!”

According to Life & Style’s sources, Maxwell looks just like her mom. Same cheeks and nose, but brown hair instead of blonde. Her friends also say she was born to be a mom, and she’s a breastfeeding champ!

“She’s so cute!” a friend of Jessica’s who has seen the baby tells Life & Style. “And Maxwell looks a lot like her mom: same cheeks and nose! Her hair’s brown, but it’s getting blonder every day.”

Just one week into motherhood and Jessica is already a natural!  According to the friend, Jessica is breast-feeding Maxwell—who weighed in at 9 pounds, 13 ounces at birth—and is a pro at changing diapers! “She was born for this role,” the friend tells Life & Style about the singer and designer. “Jessica knows what she’s doing.”

And nothing can ruin Jessica’s mood these days. “This has been the greatest experience of our lives,” Jessica’s said.
