Lady Gaga on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar

Lady Gaga graces the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar, and in case you can’t tell by looking at them, the pictures were done by Terry Richardson.

The interview was pretty interesting. You can read the full interview here, I’ll post the highlights below!

On her single, “Born This Way” being Billboard’s 1,000th number one hit:

“It broke all the records!” Gaga cheers, bopping up and down, adding that what she found most remarkable was that the song attracted new fans. “I was happy with the fans I’ve already got. But it opened this new fan base of people who love the simplicity and joyfulness of it.”

What was her inspiration for the trippy “Born This Way” video:

“A lot of weed.”

Of her annoying horn-type things protruding from her face:

“Well, first of all,” she says, “they’re not prosthetics. They’re my bones.”

Okay, so when did the bones appear?

“They’ve always been inside of me, but I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am.”

Did she will them to come out for this album?

“They come out when I’m inspired.”

Is she worried that this new look will inspire other people to “grow” similar bones?

“We all have these bones!” she says tersely. “They’re the light from inside of us. Do you mean body modification?”

Yes.

“No, I’m not concerned about that.”

Courteney Cox talks about her split from David Arquette in the new Harper’s Bazaar

Courtney Cox is on the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The cover photo, shot by Terry Richardson, doesn’t really do her any favors, if you ask me. Her face looks messed with – and I can’t quite put my finger on it! Botox maybe?

In the interview she opens up about what life has been like since her split from husband, David Arquette.  “I think every relationship has a point where you stop and reevaluate. Are you happy? Have you grown together or apart? What do you share interests in? I think that’s a normal thing to do, but it’s so much harder when it’s done publicly.”

On the now-infamous Howard Stern interview. “If you didn’t hear the Howard Stern interview and you just read quotes, I’m sure it seemed out of context, crazy. Most guys aren’t mature, are they? I’m not saying there wasn’t some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is. You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person. He’s not out to harm. But I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it.”

Courteney also opens up about how the split is affecting their daughter, Coco. “She’s adjusting. Luckily, we’ve always had two houses so there was no change in her living unit. And we both work a lot, so that wasn’t a huge adjustment. She’s our number-one priority. No matter what happens, she’ll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”

Now that Courteney is single, is she looking for love again? “The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love … I have no desire right now [to date]. I’m not saying never. It just seems weird. I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk … I don’t like to go to parties…There’s a sign on my forehead: exiting social life, entering into isolation.”

Kim Kardashian poses as Cleopatra in the new Harper’s Bazaar!

Kim Kardashian is Harper’s Bazaar cover girl next month. This is the second time she’s posed for the magazine. Last year she posed nude, without makeup – in the reportedly “untouched” photo.

Here are a few clips from the interview (go here for the rest)!

On her diet:

“I’m on a diet. I need to be. I love to eat – Kit Kats or cookies-and-cream ice cream. I need sugar like five times a day.”

On gaining weight while filming ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’:

“I worked out once. I gained like 10 pounds. All the papers were like, Kim’s pregnant! I ate the nuts on the street corner, the hot dogs, the street meat. It was not a joke.”

A bit from her interview with Elizabeth Taylor:

KIM KARDASHIAN: You are my idol. But I’m six husbands and some big jewels behind. What should I do?

ELIZABETH TAYLOR: I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands. For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things. But I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS. Follow your passion, follow your heart, and the things you need will come.

Gwyneth Paltrow: “People are so mean to me”

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, on newsstands Thursday.

“Any time you do anything with any degree of sincerity, people make fun of you,” she says in the magazine. “That’s totally fine. I don’t care. I don’t read any of it. My thing with Goop has always been, if you don’t like it, then don’t log onto it. There were a couple of times when I thought, ‘I’m just gonna stop doing it. People are so mean to me. I don’t want to do it.’ But then I was like, ‘Who cares what some lame person out there says?’ I was in Italy once, and this old man came up to me and said, ‘I had the best time in Nashville because of Goop.’ And that is so worth it to me.”

Paltrow says people are nicer in England, where she lives with her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and two children, Apple, 6, and Moses, 4.

“In England, people are cool,” she says. “They’re really laid back and calm. Beyonce did the school run with me once, and everyone was fine. They also have really good anti-paparazzi rules. If you’re driving in a car and they make you feel freaked out, that’s against the law. They can’t put you in a magazine unless they pixelate the kids’ faces. I miss America, but I love living in the UK.”

What else does Gwyneth love? Beyonce!

Beyonce is the most talented human being on the planet. She has so much mastery over what she does. It’s not even confidence – it’s on a whole other level. It’s mind-blowing. I watched her (perform) a lot to see how she did it, and I was like ‘Shit! I can’t do that!’”

Sting and Trudie Styler are still talking about their fabulous sex life

Yeah, yeah, it’s great… we get it.

Sting and Trudie Styler, who have been married for 18 years, are talking about their fabulous sex life again. But this time they aren’t touting tantric; Sting is now saying he likes it “tawdry.”

“When we see each other, it’s romance. I don’t think pedestrian sex is very interesting. There’s a playfulness we have; I like the theater of sex. I like to look good. I like her to dress up. I like to dress her up,” Sting, 59, tells Harper’s Bazaar.

What’s the most romantic thing they’ve ever done for each other? “Romantic? We like tawdry.”

He adds, “Relationships aren’t easy, and I don’t think they’re particularly natural, but we’re lucky because we actually like each other. We love each other—that’s a given—but Trudie lights my world up when she comes into a room. I don’t take her for granted.”

Katy Perry wanted a breast reduction at 13!

Katy Perry covers the December issue of ‘Harper’s Bazaar,’ and inside she talks about her husband, her boobs and her career.

Here are a few excerpts from the interview, read the whole thing here and scroll down for photos.

On her image:
“I’m kind of a good girl–and I’m not. I’m a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect. I’m a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people thinking. That’s what the stories in my music do.”

On wanting a breast reduction at age 13:

“I had really bad back problems and was a little bit thicker. Then I grew up and lost the baby fat and said, ‘Hey, this isn’t all that bad.’”

Katy Perry calls Russell Brand “a great man of God”

Hmm, I don’t know what to think about that.

Katy Perry is praising her new husband, Russell Brand, as “a great man of God”. Katy, who graces the cover of December’s Harper’s Bazaar, tells the magazine “I always knew I wanted a great man of God, someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father. We’re at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together.

“He’s thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him.”

Although Katy Perry grew up very religious, she says “I’m kind of a good girl — and I’m not,” Perry says.

“I’m a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect. I’m a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people thinking. That’s what the stories in my music do.”

How does she rate herself in the bedroom? She said: “Like Ludacris rapped, ‘I’m a lady in the street and a freak in the bed.

“I can’t rate myself, but if you ask Russell I’m sure he’d give me a ten out of ten.

“He’s made no secret of what his life was like before me, but that’s then and this is the future.

“He’s cheated in the past but he knows how good he has it with me and I know he’d never do anything to jeopardize that. I trust him 100 percent.”

Interesting…
