Earlier today it was reported that Halle Berry was looking to move to France with her daughter, and we all assumed it was because that’s where her boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, is from. Looks like that’s not the only reason!

She wants to get as far away from Los Angeles as possible, because she fears for her life, and the life of her daughter.

According to TMZ, Halle is asking a judge permission to move to France with Nahla, and her ex, Gabriel Aubry is trying to block it.

We’ve learned there have been and are serious threats to Halle’s life and she feels the move is a life or death situation.

Law enforcement sources tell us … Robert Hoskins, a mentally unstable man, escaped from a mental institution last week.

We’ve learned he has made threats against Halle’s life — specifically to “slit her throat.”

Hoskins is no stranger to the law — he has threatened to slit Madonna’s throat in the past and was actually shot by her bodyguard in 1995 after he trespassed onto Madge’s property.

And as we first reported, another stalker who recently trespassed onto Halle’s property multiple times has just been released from jail.

Friends of Halle tell us … she is particularly concerned because Starmaps and some Hollywood bus tours literally take tourists to her doorstep.

And Halle’s friends say … the actress is very concerned that baby daddy Gabriel Aubry is parading Nahla in front of paparazzi almost daily and possibly putting her in harm’s way.

Bottom line — Halle’s M.O. for wanting to move is rooted in security … not revenge.

I can see both sides. If I were Halle, I’d want to get the hell out of dodge too, but France? Really? I mean she could probably move to Portland (I hear it’s beautiful this time of year) and it would have the same effect, as far as a stalker is concerned.

Halle Berry stopped by the Sweet Lady Jane bakery to pick up a birthday cake for her fiance, er, boyfriend Olivier Martinez.   Olivier celebrated his 45th birthday yesterday.

Still no official word on the engagement.  Also, forget that engagement ring nonsense – show us the cake!

Your wedding invite isn’t in the mail.  According to TMZ, the ring that Halle Berry is sporting is NOT an engagement ring. It is a gift from her boyfriend Olivier Martinez, but he has not proposed.

sources connected to the couple tell us … as of last week, Halle and Olivier Martinez were not engaged.  Our sources say Olivier did indeed give Halle the ring as a gift, but it positively is not a symbol of getting engaged.

Halle and Olivier are in a “committed relationship” and marriage “could be in the cards,” but as of last week — when the photo came out — they were not engaged.

Why not just have your rep issue a short and sweet statement then? I suppose it’s great publicity even if it’s false, right? And they can’t spend their days hitting back at every rumor….

Halle Berry broke her foot recently during the filming of her new movie ‘Cloud Atlas’. The Oscar winner flew off for treatment and is now back in Mallorca with a walking cast.

Halle and Nahla had lunch with friends and afterwards, Berry treated her daughter to a large ice cream cone. Halle may have been in considerable pain while walking around, but she put on a brave face. And she’s going to have to! Production for the film hasn’t stopped so Halle will continue working despite the pain.

Halle Berry has to resort to unattractive wigs, because her natural hair is too dang short (I think it’s so short it’s not even cute). But neither is this wig! Is her character supposed to have really bad hair?

The cloud refers to the ever-changing manifestations of the atlas, which is the fixed human nature. The book’s theme is predacity – individuals prey on individuals, groups on groups, nations on nations.”

Haven’t seen this couple together in quite some time, prompting rumors that they had split! Look who has the last laugh! They’re still together, and while I’d like say they look happier than ever, they don’t seem to be happy at all. Guess they don’t like being stalked by the paparazzi.

Not a fan of Halle’s hair, that’s WAAAAY to short, in my opinion. I think Olivier’s hair is longer!
