Here are some new pictures of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato arriving in Austin, Texas, where day 1 of ‘The X-Factor’ auditions were to begin. Everyone has been dying to see how Britney would handle being a judge on national TV, and from the sounds of it, her first day didn’t go so well.

According to TMZ, she stormed off the set not far into taping her first episode.

Britney Spears walked off the set of “X Factor” moments ago … and according to several people in the audience, she was upset after a contestant butchered her song, “Hold It Against Me.”

Britney did not come back immediately … and four contestants auditioned in front of the remaining judges … and an empty seat.

Someone connected with the show tells us Britney was not upset over the song — and that she “Just took a short break.”

The show is currently on a break — so we don’t know if or when she will return to her seat.

I have said all along I wasn’t sure how Britney was going to be able to handle something like this. Something on TV, with cameras pointing right at your face. I know why they hired Britney – but I don’t know if she can actually handle it!

Along with Britney’s $15 million paycheck for judging, the list of her dressing room demands have also been made public.

I would say pretty much everyone is nervous about the prospect of Britney Spears falling apart as a judge on ‘X Factor’. Everyone, it looks like, except Simon Cowell. He is insisting that whatever happens with her will be ratings gold!

Simon was leaving ABC Kitchen in NYC last night after a dinner date with the other new “X Factor” judge Demi Lovato … when we asked the $15 million question — “Are you nervous with Britney being on live TV?”

Some people are concerned about Brit because of her ongoing mental health issues … highlighted by the fact she’s still under a conservatorship. Simon is NOT one of those people.

As for dinner with Demi — we’re guessing Simon paid … since she’s only scoring a mere $1 million for the gig … table scraps compared to Britney.

I’m really with the majority on this one, I don’t see Britney doing well at all on live TV. I think it’s going to be way too much pressure. But will I tune in and watch? Of course.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will be judges on the second season of “The X Factor.”

They will be joining returning judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the four-person judging panel. Simon confirmed the news at the FOX upfront in New York, tweeting the following message and photo above. “Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!@TheXFactorUSA #xfactor #SimonBritneyDemiLa ”

“I’m absolutely delighted Britney and Demi are joining us,” Simon added in a press release. “Britney remains one of the biggest stars in the world, she’s talented, fascinating — and I believe she knows exactly how to spot ‘The X Factor.’  Demi’s had an amazing career in music, TV and film for someone her age. She’s young, confident, and enthusiastic. I think it’s really important that she speaks to our younger audience. The new panel will be dynamic and will work really well with the changes we are making to the show.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join ‘The X Factor’ judging panel,” Britney said. “I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!”

“I’m so thrilled to join this legendary group of judges on ‘The X Factor,’” Demi added. “To be able to spend each week with Simon, L.A. and Britney watching the best that America has to offer is truly a dream come true.”

Demi Lovato has reportedly signed a deal to join the judges of ‘The X Factor’, and according to sources, Britney Spears is right behind her.

Demi and Britney will reportedly introduced in their new roles at FOX’s upfront’s tonight in NYC.

It’s been rumored that the two will be judging on the show for months now, and tonight it will finally be official!

After months and months of negotiating (and millions of dollars on the line), Britney Spears has officially signed on to join Simon Cowell as a judge on The X-Factor.

Spears signed on the dotted line earlier this week, E! confirms. Spears will earn $15 million for ONE SEASON. Can you believe that!?

“The contract is signed,” reveals source close to the star. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

Cowell blew up the show’s cast at the end of its inaugural season, firing judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones. Since then, he’s been searching for the perfect panel in hopes of boosting the show’s second-season ratings.

“She’s ready for this,” the insider continues. “She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

This will be Britney’s first network TV project since her short-lived Britney & Kevin: Chaotic reality series with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Now we’re just waiting for Cowell and crew to finalize the fourth judge (names floated in recent days include Spears’ fellow former Disney princesses Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, but neither has been confirmed) and name a new host—or, possibly, hosts. That announcement is expected by the time Fox announces its fall schedule at the upfronts on Monday.

I am really curious to see how all this pans out. Britney has always been really awkward live. When she’s performing – she does amazing. But you ask her opinion, or get her to talk, and she really seems to clam up! Only time will tell whether or not it was a good investment.

Remember Kevin Federline? Sounds like Joseph Malek won’t ever forget him!

Malek claims Federline moved into his Tarzana mansion in 2008 and treated the property like it was his own dirty little playground!

Malek threatened Federline with legal action back in 2009, saying that Kfed trashed his place and littered all over the sprawling compound…and then didn’t pay rent for 7 months!  Though he didn’t pursue the case then, now Malek wants to collect, saying Federline owes him upwards of 110K in damage, and wants legal help to have Federline pay up.

Just last week, British boy band The Wanted called Christina Aguilera a not-so-nice name, and now they’re going after Britney Spears!

During a radio interview yesterday, the band claimed that members of theirs were told to “avert their gaze” when Britney Spears walked by them.  The band was opening for the pop princess in Britain, and bandmember Siva Kaneswaran and their tour manager were looking at a laptop.  When Brit came through, security had the two of them look away for about ten seconds.

A rep from Britney’s camp says that this is ridiculous.

“What’s even more interesting than the false allegations they made is the fact that they have claimed to be picked on by two female pop stars in just a few days,” Spears’ rep says. “Look out Lady Gaga—there are still three days left this week.”
