Angelina Jolie says that doing charity work and experiencing the lives of those less fortunate has saved her from living a shallow life.
“Without the balance of doing things that actually matter in the world – and being part of the real world – then I would have been left in a bubble. That would have felt very empty and I probably would have just had a very shallow, horrible life.
“I’m very lucky that I’ve been allowed to, in the last 10 years, to travel and go into the world and welcomed into areas of the world where I see people and work with people who are survivors of war and refugees and people, just from everywhere and all walks of life and so I have a real view of the real world.”
The mom of six says these experiences have made her more grateful for her healthy kids:
“I’m very touched and very moved by people and what they overcome. They have always reminded me to just wake up in the morning and be grateful that your children are healthy. Nothing else matters.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have their hands full with six kids. They want us to know that it’s not easy and they’re not gonna lie about their parenting flaws. Brad shared at a taping for ‘Inside the Actor’s Studio’:
“I admit there’s times like, ‘We gotta get up. Get up! ‘Here’s your shoes. Here’s your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!’ Just so we could get ‘em up and going.”
I think I love them a little more now. They’re not trying to have us believe they’ll only feed their kids tofu and wheat grass or something along those lines. (not that there’s anything wrong with that) I have to admit that I smile when I see their kids toting around bags of Cheetos and hearing Angelina talk about the fact that she can’t cook.

‘Mike & Molly‘ and ‘Bridesmaids‘ star Melissa McCarthy says life has been a little surreal lately. She dished with Ellen DeGeneres on her Oscar nomination and meeting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globe Awards.
“So I’m already in some weird altered state talking to Brad and Angelina. They’re so nice and chatty and really bubbly. Finally, I got a little weird and ‘I was like you have to stop for a minute because it’s a lot visually to take in.’”
“I said that to them. They just kind of laughed. I said, ‘No really.’ It is a lot visually to take in. She’s like weirdly glowing. She’s so beautiful. He’s kind of cute too. And then I was like ‘Ok. I’m sorry. I needed to like regroup’ because they’re kind of a lot.”
Brad and Angelina weren’t the only ones who left her a little star struck – an encounter with Meryl Streep left her speechless:
“Literally like my brain snapped in two. And then I really didn’t know what to say. I just kept going ‘Oh, my god. You’re Meryl Streep.’ And she was chatting like a normal human being. And I said, ‘Oh my god. I’m sorry. I thought over the years so many things if I ever got to meet you what I would say. This is not it.’ And, she goes ‘Oh my god. Don’t even worry about it.’
“For some reason I felt I need to bookend it with and repeat. ‘Oh my god. You’re Meryl Streep!’”

Angelina Jolie and a cane-less Brad Pitt hit the red carpet this weekend at the Producers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills. Angelina wore a gorgeous tight black wool crepe and lace dress by Michael Kors. I think it looks awesome on her. It fits her like a glove! (Except…. what is that all over the dress around her neckline? I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be there – or if it’s lint or something…)
They look gorgeous, of course.
Angelina was at the PGAs because she received the Stanley Kramer Award for her movie, ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’. The Stanley Kramer Award is given to people and productions “whose achievement or contribution illuminates provocative social issues in an accessible and elevating fashion.” PGA presidents Hawk Koch and Mark Gordon stated their reasoning: “In the Land of Blood and is an extraordinary film that portrays a complex love story set against the terrors of the Bosnian War, especially towards women. This film truly embraces the legacy of Stanley Kramer.” (Source)

Angelina Jolie’s dress was one of the most buzzed about last night. Angelina wore a Versace gown with a splash of red at the top. There seemed to be an equal split of those who loved and those who hated it – mostly because they thought she looked too thin and frail.
Brad Pitt looked dashing despite the cane – which George Clooney had a good time teasing him about during the show.
Where do you stand on Angelina’s look?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been red-carpet-crazy the last couple days! First, they attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival over the weekend. Angelina wore a beige sack jumpsuit. I liked it – a lot of people didn’t. Yesterday they were in New York for the New York Film Critics Awards, and Angie wore a black leather dress. At both ceremonies – Brad took home the top prize for his work in ‘Tree of Life’ and ‘Moneyball’.
Last night they were in Washington D.C. at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for the premiere of Angelina’s film ‘In The Land Of Blood And Honey’.
I have high hopes for this movie. I think it looks pretty incredible, really. I hope it is!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reunited their 8-year-old son Pax with his biological grandmother during a family adventure to Six Senses resort in Con Dao, South East Vietnam.
It was Pax’s first visit back to his homeland since his adoption in 2007
Pax Jolie-Pitt enjoyed the full day with his grandma Nhan Dung at the beachside resort. “It was a one day visit. Nhan was looking forward to it after Pax had lived so many years abroad,” says an insider.
Angelina recently revealed that all of her children are interested in learning about their countries. “They are all learning about each other’s cultures as well as being proud of their own. So it’s not like just the boys get to do the Asian thing. They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride.”
She explained: “We have teachers who teach Cambodian and Vietnamese in our house and they know their flags, their music and quite a lot about their culture. We bring in as much as we can.”
Ange and Brad are doting parents to 10-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, 6-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia, and biological parents to 5-year-old Shiloh and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Could this family be any more perfect?!
