Ryan Seacrest Wants To Leave ‘American Idol’!

Ryan Seacrest Wants To Leave 'American Idol'!

Rumors are making their way across the internet suggesting that “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest is actually thinking about leaving the show! Could you imagine the show without him?!?

A source said that Ryan’s journey on the show might be “winding down” and that the veteran host is making preparations in order to leave the show. A source said, “Ryan is telling friends that this season of Idol is likely to be hist last. He’s lost the passion for it, and desperately wants to do different things at this point in his career, like produce the Oscars and start developing more of his original ideas.”

The source continued, “Ryan’s reduced role in this year’s Emmy’s red carpet coverage is a clear move toward a life that involves less hosting and more producing. He wants to transition to behind the scenes more, and is getting fed up with the ‘interviewing people’ part of his job, when his heart is really in the work he does as a producer.”

The spy added, “This season of Idol is going to be a real endurance test for Ryan. Idol is holding him back right now, but it’s also the most money he’s ever been paid for anything, so he has to be a politician about it.”

Would you watch “American Idol” without Ryan Seacrest?

Jennifer Lopez beat out P. Diddy to buy Fuse network

Who knew the music channel Fuse was up for sale? I didn’t, but Jennifer Lopez and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs apparently did, as they recently went head-to-head in a bidding war to buy it. That battle was one that JLo’s Nuvo TV company eventually won, picking up fuse for a little over $200 million!

Combs had been desperately trying to combine Fuse with his video channel, Revolt, to build a cable empire of his own.

“This is a real blow to Diddy and Revolt,” said ex-Fuse chief Eric Sherman, who has also worked with J.Lo on TV’s “American Idol.”

“Fuse was such a perfect fit for them. But having worked with Jennifer on ‘Idol,’ I’m not surprised she and her team prevailed.”

MSG said in September that it was working with JPMorgan Chase to find a buyer for the flailing Fuse channel.

In his quest to obtain the network, Combs was backed by billionaire investor Ron Burkle.

Ouch! That’s quite a bit of money to fork out – hopefully the investment pays off. I never really watched Fuse much, but maybe she’ll turn it into something hip!

Jennifer Lopez Very Close To American Idol Return

Jennifer Lopez Very Close To American Idol Return

It appears that Jennifer Lopez is super close to returning to the judge’s table for the upcoming season of American Idol. Are you excited?!?

A source said that J-Lo is “very close to signing a deal with Fox to return to American Idol next season.”

People magazine reports:

“Both Fox and Jennifer are very happy about this and want it to happen very much,” the source adds.

As for recent reports that Lopez was shunned by The Voice as a judge and a performer, the source says the rumors are false.

“Jennifer never had discussions with NBC about being a judge,” the source explains. “She was approached by NBC about performing but had to turn it down because of scheduling conflicts.”

As for why Lopez is returning for a third season, the source says: “She couldn’t return last year because she had committed to a world tour. But now that the tour is over, she has more time to raise her family, do movies and pursue television projects.”
