Kendall Jenner: “Get Off Your Phone.”

A note: if you go out with Kendall Jenner, put that smartphone away.

Kendall Jenner did an interview with Allure magazine, and honestly: I love how different she seems from the rest of her family. She’s shy, a little neurotic, detail-oriented and genuinely seems to be a lot less of this “LOOK AT ME” BS. This is a girl who freaks because she cuts her hair two inches. She has weird fears of tiny holes. But also, she says F off to bras. I dig it. You can check out the whole interview here, but I’ve got the highlights for ya…

On her own #Squad:“This is going to sound really, really lame, but we all call ourselves the Super Natural Friend Group because we all have such cool individual lives and we’ve been dreaming about them since we were so young,” says Jenner, who’s fiercely loyal to her coterie. “I’m a Scorpio, so I stick to people. If I love you, I love you. If I don’t like you, you’re screwed.”

On cell phone use:“I find it offensive if you’re with someone at a dinner and they’re just sitting on their phone the whole time,” she says, leaning forward intently. “I take that personally. Like, am I not interesting enough for you to talk to me? It’s so crazy because even though we talk about trying to be present, everyone wants to be in the future now.”

On Kylie Jenner’s phone addiction:“I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can’t get off of it.” She recalls a vacation she took with her little sister, Kylie, two years ago. “It was the first time we had ever been to this beautiful place, and we were sitting in a car,” she says. “I was just zoning out, taking it all in. And Kylie wouldn’t put her phone down. I’m like, ‘That’s so crazy to me that you’re not experiencing this.’ That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days.”

On being OCD: “Oh, I’m ridiculously OCD,” she says. “Order gives me a complete feeling, like everything is good.”

You know I love me some Khloe Kardashian, but honestly, Kendall is probably my fave. What do YOU think of her interview?! WEIGH IN BELOW!

FKA Twigs Takes A Crap On Pop Stardom

For those of you who forgot who FKA Twigs is- she’s I guess still engaged to Robert Pattinson and is still doing her thing in the indie/underground music scene. Oddly enough, she’s ALSO on the cover of the May issue of Allure.  You can read the full interview here, but mostly she talks about how she defines herself from the mainstream. And hey, it’s pretty interesting. Here are some highlights:

She just found out she could get expensive facials: “I didn’t realize until about six months ago that people, if they’re singers or actors, they go and have facials and massages and stuff like that. I only just found out.”

Whether she’s okay with nudity: “Yes, when there is a purpose behind it. I feel frustrated when there isn’t. It’s also sad. Trust me, I could take a picture and my bum could look crazy, like a hip-hop honey, but that’s not reality. I used to get anxiety because of that…of what women think it is to be a woman.”

She knows she’s cryptic: “I don’t mean to be a tough interview but I can understand why people might think that.”

Realizing she didn’t have to ask for permission: “I think one of the most painful things I went through making my record is realizing that you don’t have to ask permission. You don’t have to ask permission to do a video saying something that you want to say. All you can do is follow your instincts…”

She can still do her own hair & makeup: “I’m a traditional showgirl in a sense. I spent years of my early 20s working among performance artists. That’s rule one of being an underground artist: You do your own makeup, hair, and costumes.”

Some shade for artists who don’t know how to do things: “Imagine if you were an artist that wasn’t being herself. Imagine you’re an artist that didn’t know how to do your own makeup, didn’t know how to do your own hair, didn’t know how to put an outfit together, didn’t write your own music, didn’t direct your own videos, didn’t produce your own music. They’re not artists. They’re vehicles, vessels. The majority of them are like that… Imagine how hard that must be.”

Don’t label her. “I don’t want to be described as anything. It’s like hashtags. Hashtag this, hashtag that. Hashtag blue, hashtag pink, hashtag cute dogs. Do you know what I mean? Everything has a hashtag.”

She gave away her necklace at the end of the interview: “Here. I want to give you this. The quartz helps with clarity.”

The Allure writer makes note of the fact that they did not ask Twigs directly about Robert Pattinson because it felt “sexist, heteronormative, retrograde, wholly beside the point, and frankly insane to ask about her famous beau.” But…most people get asked about their famous partners, so, I dunno, it’s just kind of part and parcel to being in the spotlight. I love her tone, and her take-no-prisoners attitude about fame. Hear, Hear, FKA.

THIS is Why Bella Hadid Is A Brunette.

Bella Hadid isn’t naturally a brunette…but she went dark for a couple really good reasons.

She’s on the cover of Allure magazine’s March issue, and talked to the magazine about her life, career, blah blah blah BUT AND ALSO why, as a natural blonde, she decided to go to dark hue. Here are some highlights from the interview, plus the reason for the change…

On walking the runway for Chanel: “I know Chanel is just a show, and all the girls I was with, they’d been doing it forever. It’s been my dream ever since I was young.”

On why she went brunette: “I just have a darker personality. And my sister being blonde and me being brunette, it’s a good separation. I put a blonde wig on and think it would be fun to go back, but I’m happy with my hair. Blondes are so angelic. My sister can get away with anything.”

On her image: “I’m not trying to be this cool girl. If you’re trying to be something you’re not, it’s slowly going to bite you in the butt.”

Do you think Bella would look better as a blonde?

Emma Roberts Talks Breast Size

Screen Shot 2015-12-22 at 2.07.20 PM

Emma Roberts wants to be clear- her breasts are real…ly small. And she’s okay with that!

I think that’s more than okay, don’t you? What I don’t think is okay is her being (most likely) back together with Evan Peters, the same guy who briefly accused her of domestic violence. While Evan and Emma officially broke off their engagement earlier this year, they’ve been photographed together recently, which kind of negates her trying so hard to “feel like a woman” in her very sage, very 24 year old skin. Blurg. Here’s a smattering of the interview:

Representing lingerie brand Aerie for smaller women: “You can put yourself out there and not Photoshop yourself or Facetune yourself. It’s just fine “to say, ‘Oh, I looked bad in that picture, but that was such a fun day. I also wanted to show people: Yes, there is an Emma Roberts, but there is also Emma! Meaning, ‘Not red carpet. My hair down. Basically no makeup.’ I’m a small-B boob. I can’t even fit into Victoria’s Secret bras, they’re all too big! So I’m standing up for the small-busted girls.”

Aging: “I never felt more comfortable with myself since I turned 24. I feel like I’ve crossed the bridge into being a woman.”

She might not want to act anymore: “I think as I get older, there might come a time when I don’t want to be in front of the camera anymore and want to be more behind the scenes: I would love to produce and maybe write. I thought of it a lot during ‘Scream Queens’ when every morning there’s full hair and makeup and heels and mini-dresses. And I thought, you know, I kind of want to show up to work one day and not care what I look like. It would be nice to just slip away for a little bit.”

How she got over her broken engagement to Evan Peters: She replaced that engagement ring with three others on her left hand, gold rings that she bought for herself after “a breakup.” What purchasing them meant to her was something her mother told her: “Always love yourself, and always know what you’re worth.”

Whether she’s back together with Evan Peters: “I don’t want to talk about that.”

Yes, you are so comfortable with who you are body and beauty-wise, but not so much with who you’re dating. Sounds like 24 to me.

What do you think of her Allure comments?
