Gerard Butler hits the gym to get his ‘300′ figure back

Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler, who packed on some pounds after “300,” is hitting the gym hard to get back in shape, but he doesn’t want anyone to know.

“He’s so embarrassed that his six-pack abs have gone, he works out wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses,” gushed our spy.

“Can you imagine the ladies’ response when they think they scored a Spartan warrior but instead see that gut! He joined a private gym in Chelsea, Peak Performance, that’s so discreet, it’s on the eighth floor and strictly limited to approved members” — one of whom ratted Butler out.

Megan Fox: “I Think I’m Pretty Sexy” in New Horror Flick

Megan Fox

Megan Fox is hot in new horror flick Jennifer’s Body. Just ask her.

“I think I’m pretty sexy in it,” the actress, 23, said at the Comic-Con press conference for the movie (out Sept. 18). “The movie is SO sexy! You better put on your sexy shoes for this movie!”

In the film, in which Fox eats people, “there’s sort of a hint of, a little bit of a lesbian relationship that happens. There’s a girl-on-girl kiss.

“And beyond that, before every kill there is a seduction that occurs,” Fox continues. “The boys have to be seduced to get in close enough to the dead girl in order for her to devour them.”

Fox says she loved starring in the flick because “it’s so unapologetic and completely inappropriate at all times.”

But it was harder to film than Transformers, which she slammed as “not about acting” — just special effects.

“There are no robots to distract you from whatever performance I do give. So if it’s terrible, you’re going to know that its terrible!” Fox says. “That of course is intimidating, but I think the character was so much fun for me. And I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. I was just trying to have fun with it.

“I sort of felt like I was being able to make fun of my own image, sort of, as to how some people might perceive Megan Fox to be,” she continues. “I was just sort of flying freely and I hope some of it worked.”

Usually, Fox is “not a fan” or horror movies.

“I actually have a very intense fear of the dark,” she admits. “The last horror movie I saw — I think it was called The Tooth Fairy — was in 2005, and I was 15 years old. After I saw it, I slept with my mother for two weeks afterwards!”

But she pounced on the opportunity to overcome her fear.

“I think for me, to be able to play something that I would normally be frightened by is really intriguing and interesting,” she says.

“It frightened me, and it shook me up for like five minutes,” she admits.

She doesn’t mind freaking out an audience.

“It’s cool to see myself being able to scare people, because I’m just a little girl,” she says. “Look at me: I’m so sweet!”

Jenna Hager: Key to Marriage Is Being Supportive

Jenna Hager

When First Lady Laura Bush packed the last of her White House things off to Dallas in January, she didn’t even know how to use a computer. Now, her daughter says, she’s a regular thumb-typer on a new Blackberry – and so is the former President.

“It’s funny to see them on their Blackberries. They didn’t have Blackberries in office,” their daughter Jenna Hager, 27, tells People. “And now it’s funny to get emails from them – even when I know they’re traveling.”

So have they mastered typing with their thumbs? “They’re learning,” says Hager. “My mom is pretty slow.”

As for Hager, a Baltimore 6th-grade teacher who celebrated her first wedding anniversary in May with husband Henry Hager, she’s still learning the secrets to a successful marriage: “We’ve only been married a year, so I don’t know if I’m any guru on marriage. I think it’s just to stay really supportive and active in each other’s lives.” Hager, who traveled with UNICEF during her father’s presidency, was in New York Thursday to launch her latest project with the organization, called Next Generation Initiative. Her twin sister, Barbara, is also involved.

“When I returned home from Latin America and the Caribbean, I realized that there really wasn’t much for our generation – my generation—Generation X and Y – to do to get involved with UNICEF,” Hager said at the launch party at The Gates nightclub. “So together, 30 of us formed UNICEF’s Next Generation. Right now, around the world, 25,000 kids die every day of preventable things like malnutrition, dehydration. It’s our goal to get our generation activated so that one day zero kids die of things we can prevent.”

Kristen Stewart can’t wait to “get pregnant”

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart is itching to get her baby bump on—as her Twilight heroine Bella, of course!

During today’s New Moon panel discussion at Comic-Con, K.Stew was asked which aspect of the upcoming films she was most looking forward to. “Uh, I can’t wait to get pregnant,” she said, giggling.

In on the joke, costar Robert Pattinson added, “I can’t wait to perform the cesarean!” The screeching 6,000-person crowd, of course, caught the reference to the gruesome birth that takes place in Breaking Dawn—which is still three movies away!

But the panel wasn’t all about vampire spawn. Costar/werewolf Taylor Lautner, director Chris Weitz and Ashley Greene joined the fun, too, as lots of New Moon footage hit the screen. And R.Pattz admitted to being a “p*ssy.”

LeAnn Rimes & husband are separated

LeAnn Rimes

Four months after reports surfaced that LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were allegedly having an affair, a source tells People that the country singer is no longer living with her husband, Dean Sheremet.

“LeAnn and her husband have been separated for quite some time now, but they continue to try and work through their relationship,” a Rimes pal says.

The couple married in 2002, when she was only 19. Last August (six months before their seventh anniversary), they threw a “Seven-Year Itch” party to, as Rimes put it, “remember how blessed we are.”

News of their separation comes days after Cibrian’s wife, Brandi Glanville, said she and the actor were splitting.

“Eddie is a devoted and loving father first and foremost and the speed bump he and Brandi are experiencing needs to be worked out privately for everyone’s benefit,” his manager said in a statement.

Cibrian, 36, who is joining the cast of C.S.I. Miami this fall, has denied he was having an affair with Rimes, his costar in the Lifetime original movie Northern Lights, which they filmed last fall.

In March, the Rimes pal confirmed the singer and Sheremet were having problems in their marriage, but maintained Cibrian was “not the cause,” adding, “There have been issues brewing for months prior to meeting Eddie on set.”

The couple’s Nashville home is currently on the market for $7.45 million.

Critics mixed on Katie Holmes’ SYTYCD performance

Katie Holmes

Critics are mixed on Katie Holmes’ Judy Garland-inspired performance on last night’s So You Think You Can Dance.

“When all is said and done, it was a competent job,” Robert Thompson, the director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University, tells Usmagazine.com.

“She has long legs, she had a couple of moves — although most of the real movement was done by the real dancers,” he continues. “It was by no means Michael Jackson on Motown 25. It wasn’t even a real triumphant senior performing in her high school talent show.”

Adds Mediaweek’s senior TV editor Marc Berman: “It was absolutely a ratings ploy.” Her appearance spiked viewership by 17 percent.

“Truth be told, this is not really her kind of thing — she’s an actress, she’s not known for her singing and dancing. It’s sort of like saying Simon Cowell is going to make a guest appearance on CSI and be a dramatic actor,” he went on.

Even though her appearance was “a little bizarre,” her “intentions were good,” Berman says, pointing out that she brought attention to Dizzy Feet Foundation, which provides dance scholarships to underprivileged kids.

(But, he adds, “I’m surprised Tom Cruise wasn’t in the audience clapping and jumping off a couch!”)

Us Weekly TV editor John Griffiths wasn’t too hard on Holmes.

“She can sing, she can do a high kick, she’s got great gams, she looked fantastic!” he enthuses. “But I was very disappointed it was canned. Why even bother with the headset — it was obvious it wasn’t live!”

Thompson didn’t slam Holmes for lip-syncing, although he did point out she wasn’t “terribly good” at it.

“In a production like that, it’s relatively standard,” he added.

Holmes performance doesn’t compare to another dance disaster.

“I have not seen the kind of vibe after Britney Spears VMA performance,” Thompson says. “There’s some people griping about it, but a lot of people are giving it a general, ‘alright, whatever.’”

In the end, Berman says he doesn’t think Holmes moves will “help or hurt” her career.

“Does she want to be the next Judy Garland?” questions Griffiths. “Let’s hope not!”
