Plot Summary: On the heels of 2005’s blockbuster “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” writer/director Judd Apatow again mines hilarity from the relatably human in a comedy about a one-night stand with unexpected consequences: “Knocked Up.” Katherine Heigl (”Grey’s Anatomy,” “Roswell”) joins Virgin alums Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann for a comic look about the best thing that will ever ruin your best-laid plans: parenthood.

Allison Scott (Heigl) is an up-and-coming entertainment journalist whose 24-year-old life is on the fast track. But it gets seriously derailed when a drunken one-nighter with slacker Ben Stone (Rogen) results in an unwanted pregnancy. Faced with the prospect of going it alone or getting to know the baby’s father, Allison decides to give the lovable doof a chance.

An overgrown kid who has no desire to settle down, Ben learns that he has a big decision to make with his kid’s mom-to-be: will he hit the road or stay in the picture? Courting a woman you’ve just “Knocked Up,” however, proves to be a little difficult when the two try their hands at dating. As they discover more about one another, it becomes painfully obvious that they’re not the soul mates they’d hoped they might be.

With Allison’s harried sister Debbie (Mann) and hen-pecked brother-in-law Pete (Rudd) the only parenting role models the young lovers have, things get even more confusing. Should they raise the baby together? What makes a happy lifetime partnership after all? A couple of drinks and one wild night later, they’ve got nine confusing months to figure it out…

Will this movie ever be made?? I’d see it in a heartbeat!

Warner Bros. Pictures and Silver Pictures are quietly in the process of buying a “Wonder Woman” spec script from newcomers Matthew Jennison and Brent Strickland, sources said.

The studio and producer Joel Silver have been developing a big-screen rendition of the DC Comics superhero, with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon writing the script and attached to direct.

So why does the studio want another “Wonder Woman” script? Sources said the purchase is a pre-emptive measure aimed at taking the spec off the market to protect itself against the possibility that any similarities between the scripts could be fodder for future legal action. It is understood that the Jennison-Strickland script is set against the backdrop of World War II, while Whedon’s script is set in the present day.

Silver has no interest in making a period “Wonder Woman,” sources said. But as the spec script made the rounds, it landed at Silver Pictures, and executives there were impressed by Jennison and Strickland’s writing.

“Wonder Woman” has long been in the hopper as a feature at Warners, and it went through several writers before Whedon came on board in March 2005. Jennison and Strickland are repped by Underground Films and attorney David Fox. Reps for Warners and Silver Pictures declined comment.

Jennifer Hudson has won Golden Globe and SAG awards – and is up for an Oscar – for her role in Dreamgirls – despite what she describes as an abusive experience on American Idol.

“On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you’ve got to get yourself back together. You’ve been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think,” Hudson, 25, tells the new issue of Essence.

“You become a character – I became the girl in the turkey wrapping.” (On one episode, she wore an unflattering outfit that earned that label.) “I just knew I had to sing my way out of it. I don’t believe in looking back, and I didn’t look back.”

Hudson also dismisses rumors that there was tension on the Dreamgirls set between herself and costar Beyoncé Knowles. “We clicked from day one,” she says.

She says she, Knowles and their fellow Dreamgirl Anika Noni Rose bonded over the fact that they’re all Virgos, and all have a mole in the same spot on the left side of their necks.

“It’s amazing to me that God took three different women from three different walks of life and created the Dreamgirls,” Hudson says. “We were meant to be together. When you look at us, you see it’s all connected. I’m loving Beyoncé.”

Knowles has also dismissed feud rumors, telling reporters in December: “It’s really unfortunate that everyone is saying I’m jealous of Jennifer. … Because I’m a star they just automatically assume that I’m not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am.”

Supermodel Kate Moss has reportedly dumped Pete Doherty after pictures were published of him allegedly injecting himself with drugs.

An Australian backpacker claims the rocker took drugs in her Thai hostel room just two days after he exchanged vows with Moss in a blessing last month.

Moss is reportedly outraged by the story and pictures showing Doherty with a needle in his hand while surrounded by drug paraphernalia, and is distancing herself from him.

The story came just a day after the pair were snapped entering a rehab clinic in London, where the supermodel had reportedly planned to help Doherty overcome his demons.

Doherty has also come under fire from campaigners, who are accusing him of encouraging others to try drugs.

National Drug Prevention Alliance spokesperson Peter Stoker says, “Pete Doherty clearly has his own problems but what concerns us more is that he’s encouraging other people to develop their own drug problems in the future and that can’t be right.”
