Rihanna turned to a higher power to help her recover from her attack by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, because she felt so alone in the aftermath of the incident.

The R&B star was thrust into the spotlight when the February assault hit the headlines. Brown was handed a five year probation sentence and ordered to stay away from the Umbrella singer after pleading guilty to losing his temper and hitting her during a fight.

She relied on her friends and family for support, but admits it was her faith in God that really pulled her through the horrific ordeal.

Rihanna tells Glamour magazine, “My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be - no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.”

Lindsay Lohan is baffled by reports she is romancing Scottish actor Gerard Butler, insisting the persistent rumors about her love life are all “lies”.

The Mean Girls star is alleged to have enjoyed a number of flings since splitting from DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson earlier this year.

The latest tabloid claims link Lohan to The Ugly Truth star Butler after they were allegedly spotted kissing at the grand opening of a luxury beach resort in Morocco on Sunday. But she insists she wouldn’t have the time to keep up with all her suitors if the rumors were true and admits the inaccurate media reports constantly keep her smiling.

In a post on her Twitter.com blog on Monday, she wrote, “One minute I’m dumped, the next I’m dating a model, now Gerard? WHO HAS THE TIME! Such lies - it keeps me laughing.”

Nearly two years after she was scrutinized for her weight and told critics to kiss her “fat ass,” Tyra Banks is revealing how she lost nearly 30 lbs.

It wasn’t because of a diet.

“I do not believe in diets. I have been on diets in the past, and they are a bunch of bologna,” she says on The Tyra Show, airing Wednesday (check your local listings). “This is a lifestyle change. It’s not about being skinny. It’s about getting in the best shape that you can be.”

She says she has been working with nutritionist Heather Bauer, who has helped her re-evaluate her eating habits by keeping a food diary.

“I switched up my unhealthy eating habits for healthier eating habits, and I haven’t had a tummy attack since December ‘08,” she says.

Banks admits she still indulges - “some BBQ ribs and some ice cream and some Haagen Daaz” are her faves — but “just not every second.”

The trick?

“It’s about working with what you’ve got, and knowing, and learning what’s right for your body,” she says.

The 5′ 9″ model — who reveals she has maintained her “34DD boobies and her round booty” — was careful to stress that she doesn’t want to lose her curves.

“I feel good about my curves and my imperfections – my booty, my boobs, my thighs – I embrace it all,” she says. “Now I really can say … kiss my fat – and still fat – ass.

Reese Witherspoon is definitely in bloom!

The star, 33, has just released a new fragrance, In Bloom, for Avon, and she says she is proud that the scent reflects her new attitude toward life.

“When we came up with In Bloom, it just sounded like a great name,” Witherspoon tells BellaSugar.com. “I thought it should evoke a feeling that was reflective of what was going on in my life. I think that In Bloom captures the idea that I’m at a time in my life where I feel very confident with my work, with my personal life — and that it’s a time to really blossom.”

The star — who was involved in practically all aspects of the “incredibly complicated process” of creating a fragrance over the past two years — also says she incorporated memories from her childhood.

“We started with a set of ideas … about sensory memories,” she says. “What it was like growing up in Tennessee and what I remember of my mother [and] my grandmother wearing perfume-wise. A large part of my childhood was spent in my yard with a gigantic magnolia tree, so I knew it had to have magnolia in it.”

In Bloom also incorporates peach tea leaves and gardenia, a nod to the perfume her mom used to wear.

Still, the actress — who says her scent is “easy to wear” and goes well from “day to night” — admits that even more than developing the scent, she enjoyed designing the bottle.

“When my grandmother was done with the perfume, she would give me the bottle so that there was just a little bit left,” she recalls. “I remember thinking, ‘It’s so beautiful having these things sitting on your dresser.’ I thought about it as sort of a piece of art — something in your bathroom, something in your bedroom — that really is something beautiful that you feel inspired by.”

Ready for the next big thing in reality TV?

Kirstie Alley plans to return to the small screen in an unscripted docu-series for A&E — chronicling her continuing fight to lose weight while raising two teenagers alone.

With 10 episodes confirmed, the untitled reality show will run sometime in 2010, Variety reports.

“Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to,” an A&E executive told Variety. “Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she’ll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras.”

Alley’s last TV series was 2005’s Fat Actress, the half-improvised, half-scripted Showtime show in which she played herself.

The star of Cheers and Veronica’s Closet — and former Jenny Craig spokesperson — will reportedly launch a weight loss program as the cameras roll, Variety says. She will also, the article notes, be “producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs and, on top of everything, looking for love.”

Married to actor Parker Stevenson from 1983 until 1997, Alley and her ex-husband have two adopted children: William, 17, and Lillie, 15. The California resident has a vacation home in Maine.

Alley lost 75 pounds as a Jenny Craig spokesperson, revealing her bikini body on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006. Earlier this year, however, she returned to Winfrey’s show to confess that she had ultimately gained 85 pounds — weighing in at above 200 pounds.

“It’s humiliating,” she told Winfrey. “The most painful thing for me is that I have all these people that I inspired and then I let them down.”

On Monday, Alley took to Twitter to announce yet another Oprah appearance: “I AM GOING to be on Oprah tomorrow..some fun news to announce,” she wrote.
