Check out The History Channel’s new television show, Full Metal Jousting. History is bringing back the most dangerous collision sport in history, and transforming it into a 21st century event. The toughest riders in the nation face off in a bone-crushing competition for big money. Be sure to watch Full Metal Jousting as it premiers Feb 12. Sundays 10/9c.
I swear that it used to be all the History Channel would air, was WW2 documentaries. Lately, however, they’ve really caught my eye with their amazing TV shows. In fact, some of my favorite TV shows air on The History Channel. I am obsessed with ‘American Pickers’ and ‘Pawn Stars’. I don’t know what it is about finding hidden treasures inside people’s homes that catches my interest so much, but it totally does. I’m not alone, either – it’s one of the highest-watched shows on cable TV right now!
Anyway, once I heard THC was releasing a NEW show, I had to get some more information.
HISTORY is bringing back the most dangerous collision sport in history and transforming it into a 21st-century event. But this is no Renaissance fair as the toughest riders in the nation face off in a bone-crushing competition for big money. It’s as intense as it was 500 years ago, but with a twist: Traditional armor is replaced by modern suits of steel, while action is captured by high-speed cameras. Each episode features full-contact jousts in which jousters charge and collide at 30 miles an hour, and every joust is a test of courage and strength requiring nerves of steel. The last man standing takes home the cash as this extreme sport is reborn.
I can’t wait! I bet it will be awesome!

Otherwise, don’t forget to tune in to watch the series premiere on Sunday, February 12 at 10/9c!
Miley Cyrus recently opened up to Glamour.com about where she stands on marriage equality. The 19-year-old actress/singer got a tattoo last year that reads ‘All Love is Equal’. So what does Miley really think?
She said, “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.
“When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me—they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?”
Miley added, “This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.”
Speaking of love, here is Miley and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth having lunch in Studio City over the weekend.
Jessica Simpson was in Indianapolis yesterday for the Super Bowl, and the pregnant singer tweeted she was rooting for the Patriots. Jessica’s fiance, Eric Johnson, used to play for the 49ers, but seeing as how he’s from Boston, Jessica tweeted her support to the Giants. “We were really sad the Niners aren’t here right now — Eric played for the Niners… But we’re going with the Patriots. And I’m a Cowboys fan, so I cannot root for the Giants!”
After the game was over, she tweeted “Stayed up past my bedtime. Now it’s time for my big girl panties and sleeping bra!!”
I didn’t actually watch the Super Bowl yesterday. Instead, a friend and I took our kids out so the husbands could enjoy the show, kid-free. (I’ll never do that again!)
From what I’ve read this morning, Madonna did really, really well. I watched the video above, and from the looks of it – she killed it! I can’t believe for a woman her age – she’s still able to get on stage and dance with that kind of stamina. I couldn’t even do that now – if I tried!
She started off by performing “Vogue”, then went into singing “Music”. She was then joined on stage by the guys from LMFAO, and then performed “Party Rock Anthem” and “Give Me All Your Luvin” with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A..
M.I.A. shot the middle finger during her performance, and it’s causing quite a stink this morning. I’m with the critics. It was a stupid, classless thing to do. There was no reason for it. It’s not even that “shocking” – it’s just stupid.
The Super Bowl, shown on NBC this year, is routinely viewed by more than 100 million people, the biggest TV event of the year. The screen briefly went blurred after M.I.A.’s gesture in what was a late attempt — by less than a second — to cut out the camera shot.
“The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show,” NBC spokesman Christopher McCloskey said. “Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers,”
The NFL blamed a failure in NBC’s delay system for allowing the gesture to be seen. Spokesman Brian McCarthy said M.I.A. did not do anything similar during rehearsals and the league had no reason to believe she would pull something like that during the actual show.
“The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans,” McCarthy said.
The British singer M.I.A. is best known for her 2007 hit “Paper Planes,” a Grammy nominee for record of the year that memorably features a sample of the Clash song, “Straight to Hell.” It was featured on the soundtrack to the movie “Slumdog Millionaire.”
Overall I think Madonna did really well. What did you think?
Lana Del Rey performed on ‘Saturday Night Live’ a couple weeks ago, and she was hit with a wave of negative backlash after critics and fans alike hailed her performance as one of the worst-ever.
On Saturday’s ‘SNL’, Kristen Wiig stopped by “Weekend Update” as Del Rey, to chat with Seth Meyers about the backlash, and credited her detractors with being absolutely right. “Based on the public’s response, I must have clubbed a baby seal while singing the Taliban national anthem.”
She went on to say that critics were right to take her to task for changing her name and for not being seasoned enough to perform on the show: “The music stage on ‘Saturday Night Live’ is hallowed ground, and I failed to reach the high bar set by past guests like Bubba Sparxxx, The Baha Men and Shaggy.”
I saw her performance, and I didn’t think it was so bad. I think she’s kind of an awkward performer live, but she actually really has an incredibly voice. I have her new album, ‘Born To Die’, and I absolutely LOVE it. I’ve listened to it over and over and over since I got it, and I would recommend it to anyone!
She’s doing something right, her album is the fastest selling album of 2012 so far, and has been at No. 1 on the charts since it was released.
For those who don’t like Del Rey, you may be in luck. She’s recently told Vogue she’s not sure if she’ll write another album.
“I don’t think I’ll write another record. What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I’ve said already.”
I hope she DOES write another album. I’m really loving this one!
Gisele Bundchen ay be the voice of every Patriots fan last night, after saying that her husband Tom Brady needed some “f**king help” from his teammates during the Super Bowl.
On her way out of the stadium last night, she was harassed by New York Giants fans, which included one fan who screamed “Eli OWNS your husband!”
Gisele didn’t shout back, but turned to a friend and said, “My husband can not f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
Clearly, G was taking a shot at Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez … and every other Pats player who CHOKED during the big game.
The comment was captured on tape and has already hit the Internet.
A short time later, Gisele could be seen comforting her hubby in the bowels of the stadium.
I’ve seen this several times on the internet this morning, and it cracks me up…. “Even God hates Tom and Gisele.”
Poll time! How do you feel about last night’s Super Bowl?
Channing Tatum has quickly become a Hollywood hunk, and with his latest flick The Vow with Rachel McAdams, his sex appeal is about to hit the stratosphere.
Not so quick, ladies. Channing has been happily married for almost three years to wife Jenna Dewan, and the actor shared with PEOPLE how he keeps the romance going from year to year.
“I see caring for somebody as a creative outlet.”
“I like drawing little faces and writing little stories and hiding them in places.”
“I’m a practical joker. My favorite one is putting one under the toilet seat,” he said with a laugh. “She always wakes up before I do, so I enjoy the surprise of ‘Haha! I got you!’ ”
“I don’t think it’s that hard to be thoughtful,” said Tatum, “especially when you do care about the person.”
