Prince Frederic von Anhalt has made it known to the public that his wife, Zsa Zsa Gabor, has fallen into a coma after being rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles yesterday (May 17) for an emergency stomach surgery to repair a “major infection in her stomach” caused by a feeding tube.
According to Prince Frederic, Zsa Zsa has been unresponsive since 2am this morning.

When 94-year-old actress Zsa Zsa Gabor learned that her close friend Elizabeth Taylor passed away today, she reportedly became so visibly upset that she was rushed to the hospital.
Her husband, Fredric Prinz von Anhalt said that Zsa Zsa learned of Elizabeth’s passing like the rest of the world: while watching television. She “went hysterical” and “went through the roof” when she saw the news. The two had been friends for decades, and Zsa Zsa alleged said:
“Celebrities go in threes and I’m next.”
Jane Russell passed away in February at the age of 89, today was Ms. Taylor at 79, and Zsa Zsa insists that she will complete the trifecta.
Zsa Zsa has been undergoing much medical treatment lately. She has had a leg amputated and has an infection is the remaining one. She released herself from the hospital earlier this month, though many believe she should remain under a doctor’s close care for obvious health reasons.
Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband tells TMZ he rushed Zsa Zsa to the hospital because the blood clot in her leg had spread so much … and half of her leg needed to be amputated.
Prince von Anhalt tells TMZ he had called a private ambulance to take Zsa Zsa to the hospital. Prince says doctors advised him before the holidays to take her in and have the surgery done, but Zsa Zsa refused …saying she wanted to be home for what could be her last holiday.
Zsa Zsa’s husband says doctors came again yesterday and said that if he didn’t take her in, she would lose her life.
Zsa Zsa was hospitalized back in November after she complained of pain and swelling in her legs. That’s when doctors discovered the “massive blood clot.”
93-year-old Zsa Zsa Gabor is not doing well. Zsa Zsa’s husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt tells TMZ, “I just called an ambulance. She has to go back to UCLA.”
Prince said his wife was unresponsive, and in distress. An ambulance is on the scene. Story developing.
