Zayn Malik On The Cover of ELLE UK. YOU’RE WELCOME.

Kristen Stewart...and now Zayn Malik!

KStew is one of ELLE UK’s five cover stars of the September 2016 issue, and now we’re seeing #2 cover star, Zayn. In the issue he talks about moving to Hollywood, dating Gigi Hadid, and fashion, fashion, fashion. Well, it’s the theme of the magazine, isn’t it? Check out the snippets Elle’s throwing us…

On his solo career and love of music:‘My entire life has changed in the last year. I’m still taking it all in. I’ve found so much out about myself. Mostly how in love with music I still was. The album is a build up of six years and never being able to express what I wanted to say. I had something to get off my chest.’

On his relationship with his mum and sisters: ‘I enjoyed the womanly influence. I have a lot of respect for women because of them. They are so strong, powerful and do everything themselves…’

On developing a personal style: ‘Since leaving One Direction I’ve been given the freedom to be able to wear whatever I want and that’s made it more interesting. More creative. I can say I want to wear metal arms and it’ll happen.’

On his decision to leave One Direction: ‘At that time in my life I felt I had done everything I could do there and I just needed to change it up. It didn’t feel brave. I just don’t have it in me to feel fully secure in anything I do. I always strive towards something better. It’s why I think sometimes I come across the wrong way, a bit distant. I’m just stressed out trying to control how I’m perceived. I think about things a lot.’

On his interest in acting: ‘I started acting when I was in school with theatre studies and then music came after. It completely stopped when I joined the band but I’d definitely be interested if I was given the right role.’

On his relationship with model Gigi Hadid: ‘She’s super intelligent, I think that’s why it works so well. And we do the same type of job so we get that with each other.’

Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik “Hit A Rough Patch,” But Are Now Stronger Than Ever!

Back and better than EVER!

As we reported, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik broke up for like a millisecond earlier last month, and now reports are saying that the two are “back to normal” since they’ve come back together!

According to E!, the couple hit rough times while the former One Direction member dealt with the “worst anxiety” of his career as he cancelled his performance during London’s Capital Summertime Ball two weeks ago. A source close to Zayn said:

“Things are back to normal with them. They got through a rough patch that Zayn was facing personally and it started to put a dark cloud on their relationship. Gigi was there for him when he needed her the most and that brought them closer than ever.”

And it’s true- the supermodel wrote a heartwarming message to Zayn after his anxiety admission, even declaring her love for him. AWWWW.

And now, the insider explains that they’re trying to keep thing low key:

“They have been spending some alone time together lately without the media seeing them. Zayn is feeling better with the help of Gigi and many other close people in his life. It’s a work in progress for him.”

Sure is, like the rest of us. Keep on keepin’ on, Zigi!

Zayn Malik Gives Boring Interviews

Screen Shot 2016-06-14 at 11.11.55 PM

Zayn Malik was interviewed for Dazed Magazine, a magazine I’ve never heard of and honestly, rehashed a lot of what people ask Zayn: what’s up with Gigi Hadid, why’d you leave One Direction and can we make you more interesting? The answer: not really. Quite honestly, Zayn doesn’t give good interview, and it’s a shame because I feel like he could really give us some good boy band dirt. Here are the best parts of the interview (which you can read in its entirety HERE):

On being scene-y:“I haven’t done much acclimatin’,” he says in his throaty, northern English baritone. “I’m just staying the way that I am. I think that’s the best way to keep your sanity. You’ve got to hold on to what you are and not let things get to your head, because if you do, that’s when everything comes crashing down terribly.”

On how Taylor Swift encouraged him:“At Gigi’s house we briefly spoke and she told me she really enjoyed the album. It was nice to get some feedback. She said she thought I was cool and I kind of blushed a bit and didn’t know how to take it.”

On his Met Ball Outfit:“It was cool. I had seen a few people hitting me online, saying negative things about it. But I enjoyed it because they were saying I looked like a dude from Mortal Kombat, and it was actually based on a character (from the video game series), called Jax. He had metal arms, and the theme was technology, so I just took it from him… It’s a bit easy to just dress up in a suit. I like to do things that are a bit outside of that.”

On Prince:I’m conscious in the back of my head, of how he was sort of bold and fearless in the way he decided to dress. He created another world with the clothes he wore, and it gave him an otherworldly feel, which is all part of his legend, I guess. I was really upset with the fact that he passed away. But it’s nice that we can use things now to portray what inspired us about him. That was kind of what I was doing at the Met Ball… being fearless. But I was just having fun.”

On his Pakistani influence:“I really liked ‘Within You Without You’ on Sgt. Pepper’s, the Beatles record. I was listening to it a lot at the time. I wanted to mix English with an Indian sound and make something cool out of it.”

On leaving One Direction:“I know that musicians are seen as one-sided people a lot of the time,” he says, thoughtfully. “But we do have other elements to us as well. I didn’t feel good. Do you know what I mean? And if you don’t feel good…” His voice trails off and he takes a drag from a cigarette, his dark eyes focusing. “You need to be able to express what it is that you are,” he says, breaking into a smile. “I’m free at last.”

UGHHHHH BRING A BOOK. At least he talks about Prince, but not in a way that isn’t like, “I’m sorry he died, he was an icon.” C’mon Zayn. Get out more. it might do you some good.

Zayn Malik Is “Determined To Prove Himself” To Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are officially back ON.

Though the couple briefly split earlier this month after seven months of dating, I guess Gigi’s dad was right: the two are patchin’ things up and moving forward, together (sorry Taylor Swift, your breakup buddy is back to relationshiptown). The two were spotted recently showing some PDA in New York City, workin’ on their communication, according to People:

“They have been working on their communication and being honest with each other and so far things are great,” says a Hadid source, who confirms the duo are “back together.” “They were fighting all the time and Gigi caught Zayn in a handful of lies and couldn’t take the mystery anymore, so she dumped him.”

According to the source, the breakup didn’t stick because the former One Direction band member “kept incessantly apologizing and wanted another chance.”

“Gigi gave it to him, and now he’s determined to prove himself to her.,” adds the source. “Everything’s good at the moment, but things could change overnight. Zayn is really going to need to continue to prove himself to her. Otherwise, she may not stick around.”

Hadid, 21, and Malik, 23, have been spending time together in his native London while he deals with the “worst anxiety of [his] career,” which forced him to cancel his Capital Summertime Ball appearance.

The model shared a long message of support on Twitter writing, “Love you and so proud of you always.”

Lol. Of COURSE everything could change…with everyone, ever.  These two are still so young, I’d be surprised if they lasted another year. That being said, it feels like Gigi’s really got her s*it together, and isn’t taking any EX 1D BS. Good for her.

Do you think this couple will last the year? Weigh in below!
