I Can’t EVEN With This New Willow & Jaden Smith Photo Shoot

Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 10.57.02 PM

Just when I thought Willow and Jaden Smith hit maximum pretentiousness…THIS HAPPENED.

Honestly, I didn’t even read the interview part of Willow and Jaden’s Issue of Interview Magazine, because I think I’d lose my lunch. It’s conducted by Pharrell Williams. I’m sure it’s gross but as gross as everyone proclaiming Jaden and Willow the “future of high fashion” all the time? Probably not.

Feast your eyes on these pics and if you can stand it, read the interview HERE. Good luck. You’re a better person than I.

Willow Smith Hosts “Underground Teachings In Quantum Mechanics”

WS-cover

…”and is completely, obnoxiously insufferable.”

Just kidding! I added that last part but the headline of this post is a real freaking quote. I try to remember that Willow Smith is 15 and still like, A FIFTEEN YEAR OLD, but it’s so hard as it feels like she’s a more fashion forward, mini-Gwyneth Paltrow in the making. Anyway, Willow covers the new issue of Teen Vogue and she’s, like, into hosting “underground teachings in quantum mechanics” and other like, totally normal teen stuff. Check it:

Her relationship with her brother Jaden: “We’re like binary stars, like two parts of one thing. I know what he’s thinking at all times. And he knows what I’m thinking. We’re not identical twins, but it feels like that in a lot of ways.”

This really part of the interview: “The teen supernova perks up on topics like nanoscience, civil engineering, and microbiology. She is a self-proclaimed STEM freak, with her sights set squarely on deepening connections in the science community and maybe even attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) one day… Willow sews clothing, hosts underground teachings in quantum mechanics, and is studying how to produce songs from mathematical equations…”

She visited MIT: “It was nice to be able to talk to female students and professors about science and logic because that’s just such a man’s world.”

She is an artisan: “I see myself as a—hold on, let me ask Siri.” The teenager whips out her iPhone and speaks into it, drawing stares from tables nearby. “Siri, define artisan.” Everybody’s favorite robotic voice serves up a satisfying definition: Artisan is a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand. “Ah, OK, yes!” Willow allows. “I call myself an artisan.”

When she felt less than empowered: “After ‘Whip My Hair’ and all the publicity, after going on tour in the U.K., after saying no to the Annie film, all of this crap was going on in my life, and I had to sit down and say, ‘Who are you? On a real note. Are you this or this?’ During that time of figuring it out, I was lost and super insecure. But then I stopped trying to find myself in these other inanimate objects, people, and ideas. I realized it isn’t about finding yourself—it’s about creating yourself.”

Her new role as a Chanel ambassador: “Being a young African-American woman with dreads, it blows my mind that I’m a Chanel ambassador. Like, how am I a Chanel ambassador? It is so beautiful. I’m coming into a new part of my life that is completely unknown, and I’m jumping right in. All I can do from here is continue to shift paradigms and continue to push the envelope further and further. But I am doing it every day just by being myself.”

Although I have to say, after rereading this is IS cool how much she likes Jaden Smith and how passionately into so much stuff she is. I just wish she had ANY link to reality- like, volunteerism, a poor friend, whatever. I think that would make her so much (and ACTUALLY) worldly.

Can We All Relax About Willow Smith’s NOT Topless Instagram Photo?

Screen Shot 2015-01-23 at 8.41.32 AM

See? Willow Smith is wearing a shirt. Can we all just calm down already?

The 14-year-old posted an Instagram yesterday of herself in this fairly ugly Jean Paul Gaultier vintage shirt, in which there ARE nipples, but they aren’t little Willow’s.

I’m not sure why everyone is freaking out- it’s not her chest, it’s just a shirt with a picture of where someone’s chest should be.  I think this is super overblown and feel like we’re already giving little Willow way too much attention than she deserves.  After all, she did put out the MADDENING single, “Whip My Hair.”

Do you think this pic is controversial? Tell us why or why not!

Jada Pinkett-Smith Talks About That Willow Picture

Jada Pinkett-Smith Talks About That Willow Picture

Jada Pinkett-Smith really stuns in this black Victoria Beckham dress for her interview with Net-a-Porter and in her interview, she discusses that picture of Willow Smith. You know the one where she posed with Moises Arias and caused a huge controversy?

Shaking her head, she said, “Just don’t pollute something that’s not dirty. It’s really tough. I feel like the connection to the value of women on a bigger scale has decreased tremendously. Even though you look and go, ‘Women have so many opportunities,’ it’s like, ‘Yeah, but at what cost?'”

She continued, “Are women valued for being women, or are women valued when they have more masculine qualities? Men and women encompass both female and masculine energies, but it seems like when the feminine is present, it’s not respected.”

She said previously, “I want my kids to be happy and I want them to be themselves. I was saying to a friend the other day, ‘Remember, our kids are not us.’ They’re not. Sometimes we’re trying to fix things that happened to us or projecting [onto them] and that’s a terrible, terrible, trap.”

You can check out the rest of her interview at the source.
