Will Smith has warned his wife Jada Pinkett Smith that her demand he takes time off from acting will leave her exhausted in the bedroom.

Pinkett Smith has begged the 39-year-old to take a break when he ends his world tour promoting new movie Hancock.

He says, “I’ve been working a lot the last couple of years. My wife has said we have to take the next five months off. I enjoy my job, I really enjoy working. She might need to be prepared to have lots of sex.”

Will Smith is reluctant to star in movies that aren’t big-budget blockbusters – because he’s not sure if such projects would succeed in the box office.

The actor has made a name for himself with lead roles in high-grossing action and sci-fi hits like Men In Black and Independence Day.

And he admits he is afraid to stray from his trademark genre in favor of more dramatic films.

He says, “I fear that if I don’t do that ‘Will Smith’ thing, then it won’t be successful.”

But the 39-year-old is confident his best work on the big screen is yet to come.

He adds: “I think the next four or five years are going to be my innovative prime.”

Tom Cruise has reportedly recruited Hollywood pals David Beckham and Will Smith to join him in his newest hobby: fencing.

The Mission: Impossible star is said to have built a room in his U.S. home for practicing his swordsmanship – and often invites close friends Smith and Beckham to join him in the sport.

Smith tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, “Tom has a room for training. We don’t get enough time for hanging out, just us three guys, so this is his way of getting together and bonding. David and I go to his home and just do fencing. It’s a lot of fun. We wanted an activity that was strenuous, but we’re getting older – we have to think about slowing down. We’ve got to watch our joints. Especially my knee… Ow.”
