Will Smith arrives at the Trump Soho New York Hotel in NYC for the Men in Black III rehearsal yesterday (March 20). In case you didn’t know, the third film of the Men In Black franchise is to release in May 2012.

The Smith clan is taking on another classic movie.

Ten-year-old Willow Smith is set to play the title role in “Annie.”

The film is being developed by Overbrook Entertainment, which the Smiths co-own, along with Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Sony Pictures.

Last year, 12-year-old Jaden Smith starred in a remake of “The Karate Kid,” which raked in $343 million worldwide.

Sony’s Columbia Pictures first brought “Annie” to theaters in 1982.

The movie was based on the Broadway musical in which an orphan’s life is transformed when she goes to live with the wealthy industrialist Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks.

Here are new pictures from the set of Willow Smith’s video shoot for her new song “21st Century Girl” which was packed with supportive family and friends this weekend in Los Angeles. Visitors included mother and father Will and Jada Pinket Smith, older brother Trey and Jaden who arrived with actor Jackie Chan (not pictured) during which Jaden grabbed a set camera and interviewed his mom and sister.

Will and Jada Smith took their daughter out this morning for a scheduled performance in New York.

9-year-old Willow stopped by BET’s “106 & Park” to launch her new music video (which you can watch here) “Whip My Hair.”

FOX is adapting the blockbuster 2005 film Hitch for TV!

It comes from Will Smith and James Lassiter’s Overbrook Entertainment and The Proposal writer Pete Chiarelli who will pen the project. It’s described as an action-packed one-hour and received a script commitment, plus penalty, from the network. Sony Pictures TV and Overbrook are producing.

The movie, which Overbrook co-produced with Sony’s Columbia Pictures, starred Smith as a date doctor. This marks the TV debut for Chiarelli who also is writing feature action comedy Most Wanted, which reunites him with The Proposal stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds and director Anne Fletcher. Overbrook and Sony TV first took a stab at adapting Hitch to series 3 seasons ago when it was developed as a half-hour single-camera comedy at CBS with writer Ben Wexler.

Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed that she turned a role down in the remake of The Karate Kid. Her son, Jaden Smith played the lead character, Dre Parker, and Jada says she was not interested in playing his mother.

“There was talk about me playing Jaden’s mother in the movie but I felt that he was going to really need his mom off camera. Mummy support,” BANG Showbiz quotes her as saying. “So we felt like we really had to be there as parents and producers just to make sure Jaden was being taken care of.

While she didn’t star in the movie, she played a big role behind the camera. She, alongside husband Will Smith, served as the movies producers. She said: “Well, we knew that we had to participate in some way. We have so much knowledge between the two of us that we want to pass on to our children. So we knew it was important to participate.”
