Whitney Houston’s will revealed: Bobbi Kristina gets everything!

Yesterday the contents of Whitney Houston’s will was revealed, and everything is going to the late singer’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

The 19-year-old is the sole beneficiary of Whitney’s estate, which has been placed in a trust. Bobbi will receive three payments, at the ages 21, 25 and 30.

Whitney passed away on February 11 at the age of 48. She set up the will in 1993, a month before Bobbi was born.

While Bobbi Kristina is not named the singer stipulated that ‘any child of mine who survives’ her will receive all furniture, clothing, personal effects. jewellery and cars, as well as the balance of the estate.

As well as staggering access to the trust Whitney also stipulated that her trustees can release funds to Bobbi Kristina depending upon the circumstances and it is up to the trustees to allow to release the funds or not.

Presumably these would include if the teenager wanted to start a business, or pay for college.

It will no doubt come as a relief to the family that even though Whitney’s former husband Bobby Brown is named in the will – he will not receive anything.

According to BANG Showbiz, Whitney’s mother Patricia “Cissy” Houston is the executor of the will and her brother and sister-in-law are trustees.

Whitney and Bobby Brown were marked for 14 years, but Whitney signed a prenuptial agreement before they tied the knot in 1992, which banned Bobby from accessing her will.

The prenup stated: ‘Houston shall have the right to dispose of her Separate Property by Last Will and Testament in such manner as she may, in her own uncontrolled discretion deem proper.

‘All future earnings, income, and accumulations resulting from each of the party’s respective personal activities, skills, efforts and work (including but not limited to each party’s respective earnings, income and accumulations derived from recording contracts, movie contracts, other media contracts, concert tours, endorsements, personal appearances….shall remain separate.’
While Bobbi Kristina will inherit her mother’s estate her family are hoping she doesn’t inherit Whitney Houston’s fame.

The family of the singer, who passed away last month, reportedly want the 19-year-old out of the ‘limelight’.

A source told People magazine: ‘There is still no resolution and there has been nothing concrete on the cause of death, and they were hoping for that.’

‘There were members of the family who weren’t keen on [the interview] going down at this time.

‘There are people who just want her to stay out of the limelight for a while. This is a little girl who just needs some time.’

This is as it should be! Hopefully Bobbi is doing better these days, and will spend the money wisely.

Rolling Stone takes a look back at Whitney Houston’s life.

The new issue of Rolling Stone takes a revealing look back at Whitney Houston’s life, including her dark side that people around her still have a hard time comprehending. “A lot of us talked about that, and no one could come up with an answer,” says Gerry Griffith, the A&R man who brought Houston to Clive Davis’ attention around 1982. “Where is that rebellion coming from? It didn’t come out for a while.”

A genuine crossover star, Houston was a pop rarity who reached audiences young and old, black and white. “Because of her cousin Dionne [Warwick], she understood all those pretty-ass melodies from Burt Bacharach,” says Narada Michael Walden, one of Houston’s many producers. “But because she was young and from the era of Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna, she had soul in her too – those rhythms. She had both sides. Plus, she was so damn gorgeous. You couldn’t say no to her.”

The full article is in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone on newsstands Friday.

Whitney Houston’s death will be ruled accidental

Whitney Houston’s death on February 11 will officially be ruled an accident, according to E! News.

The singer’s family believed her death was accidental, and not the result of deliberate action taken by Houston or anyone else.

While the actual cause of death was temporarily listed as “deferred” on Houston’s death certificate pending the result of toxicology tests, “nothing suspicious” has been found to connect any physicians or other people of interest to Houston’s case and the inquiry is nearing completion, the source says.

Plus, “she had no marks on her body whatsoever to indicate a struggle, and she was the furthest thing from trying to kill herself.”

The L.A. County Department of Coroner will not comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

Our source says that the autopsy tox screen could be in the Beverly Hills Police Department’s hands by next week and, depending on the status of other elements of their investigation, the case could be closed very soon afterward.

Sources have told E! News that Houston had prescriptions for antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications, and a handful of pill bottles were reportedly found in her room at the Beverly Hilton, where she was found dead in the bathtub.

One thing that isn’t on the BHPD’s plate is any investigation into who may have leaked photos of Houston’s death scene to the media. Contrary to a RadarOnline report, Lt. Mark Rosen tells E! News that no members of Houston’s family have reached out to them regarding any “death scene photos.”

Rihanna in talks to play Whitney Houston in biopic

Rihanna is reportedly on among a few names on the shortlist of talent who is being considered to play Whitney Houston in a biopic of the late singer’s life.

Whitney’s record label boss, and close friend Clive Davis, is apparently helming the project, and is trying to get a script finalized as soon as possible.

According to Daily Mail, Rihanna is at the top of the list, alongside ‘Dreamgirls’ actress Jennifer Hudson.

Other people on the list are Vivica Fox and Jordin Sparks.

Although movie executives are hoping Riri will sign up for the film, the Talk That Talk singer already turned down the chance to remake Houston’s The Bodyguard last year.

She told OK! magazine: ‘I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time, because you can never look at them as anybody else. I want to play a character. My whole life is playing Rihanna; being a singer won’t be a stretch for me.’
The superstar’s life story had been discussed before her death and the I Will Always Love You singer was excited about the project.

A source told the People newspaper: ‘Whitney knew about the project and was excited to see where it would lead.

‘It’s hoped the biopic will be as successful as Tina Turner movie What’s Love Got To Do With It, which landed two Oscar nominations for Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne who played Tina and Ike Turner.’

Whitney, who was found dead in a bath in the Beverly Hilton, is said to have claimed that she was beaten up by the devil during drug binges.

Her former sister-in-law, Tina Brown, told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘She was always convinced that demons were out to get her when she was high.’

Tina, who is the sister of Bobby Brown, added: ‘On one occasion she told me she was staring at the face of the devil himself… but it was her reflection.’

She claimed that Whitney’s legs were black and blue from self harming when high but she believed that Satan was responsible for the wounds.

Tina, who has served time in jail for drug possession, also claimed that Houston would call drug dealers to her home to prolong parties.

She told the newspaper: ‘She’d cut open a cigar, take the tobacco out, put in marijuana and the whole piece of crack and puff away.’

I wonder if Rihanna can even act. Seems like a very big project to guess if she can pull it off.

Who do you think would make a better Whitney Houston? Rihanna or Jennifer Hudson?
