Whitney Houston will be honored posthumously with the Billboard Millennium Award in a tribute performed by Jordin Sparks and John Legend at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 20), it was announced Tuesday.

Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, will make a special appearance to accept the award in her honor.

Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston may no longer have been a couple when she died in February, but as he told TODAY’s Matt Lauer in an interview that aired Wednesday morning — his first interview since her death — he still misses her fiercely.

“Our relationship was great,” he said. “I had 14 beautiful, beautiful years with that woman.”

And it’s not just his revisionist history, he insisted: “I can honestly say that — I love that woman with — with everything that I am. And I believe she loved me the same way.”

Still, Whitney and Bobby’s relationship was, almost from the start, filled with conflict of one kind or the other. Brown says he never used hard drugs before meeting Houston, and said that she had used drugs before they were involved. “I worried about it when … we first got together until I tried it,” he said. “And when I tried it, for some reason, I have an addictive personality.”

Kevin Costner stopped by Anderson Cooper’s talk show to talk about his upcoming miniseries ‘Hatfields & McCoys’, and ended up talking about his ‘Bodyguard’ costar, Whitney Houston.

The two hadn’t been close since they starred together in the 1992 blockbuster, but Kevin always had a soft spot for the late singer (he even acted as a pallbearer in her funeral). Now the actor is opening up about what he knew and didn’t know about her battle with drugs.

“A couple of times there were some people that really loved Whitney and a couple times in the last seven or eight years they asked me if I would I write her a letter,” he told Cooper.

“It’s so odd. I have this level of celebrity and fame — international or national, whatever you want to refer to it — but it’s a pretty surreal thing to think sometimes that you’re in the middle of another famous person’s life,” he explained.

“You think to yourself, ‘How the hell did I get famous?’ What is this some weird club that we’re in?’”

“So when someone said, ‘Would you write someone a letter to someone who you know is having trouble?’ I did, there were two occasions.”

The gorgeous movie star couple will always be joined in fans’ eyes, but in real life the Dances With Wolves star said: “I elected to let Whitney have her life after The Bodyguard, she would always be close to me, she would always be someone I appreciated.

“I saw pretty much what everyone else saw. But when someone asked me to write a letter I did, I don’t know if those letters were ever read.”

Oh, it’s just so sad seeing Whitney Houston!!

Here is ‘Sparkle’, the last movie Whitney Houston made. If you ask me, it looks a whole lot like ‘Dreamgirls’, but who knows – maybe it’ll be different!

It has just been revealed that authorities DID find cocaine in Whitney Houston’s hotel room, shortly after she died. Originally we were told no illegal drugs were found… but considering they found cocaine in Whitney’s system during the autopsy, it’s come forward that there was, in fact, cocaine in her hotel room.

Authorities recovered cocaine in the hotel room where Whitney Houston died … TMZ has learned.

As for the quantity of cocaine that was found, official documents show one of the items police recovered was “white, powdery remnants.” Sources tell us the powder was tested and it’s cocaine.

We’re told Beverly Hills detectives are NOT investigating rumors that someone removed cocaine from the room, because they’re convinced it wasn’t removed.

Sources directly involved in the investigation told TMZ early on … no illegal drugs were recovered from the room. We have circled back with these sources who now tell us they were unaware at the time that cocaine was present.

Bottom line — cops are in the final stages of their investigation, but they are not focusing on anyone who possibly removed cocaine, because authorities are in possession of the goods.

There was cocaine in Whitney Houston’s system when she died, this just in from the L.A. County Coroner.

The L.A. County Coroner has just released the singer’s official cause of death — accidental drowning … but the report also notes heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to Whitney’s demise.

A source connected to the investigation tells us it is “very possible” Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.

Whitney was found dead in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in February, and several pills were found at the scene. Police found no evidence of cocaine in the hotel room.

Bobbie Kristina, 19, has found herself a new boyfriend – or as some have reported – a fiance, and it’s not making her family very happy.

Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy has come forward and scolded her granddaughter for her choice of men. Turns out Bobbi’s fiance is none other than Whitney’s adopted son, Nick Gordon, 22.

Apparently Whitney never officially adopted Nick, but she took him in as her son when he was 12 after his father went to prison, and his mother was unable to care for him. Bobbi and Nick grew up as siblings.

Even though the two are not blood relatives, Cissy still insists what they’re doing is wrong, telling TMZ.com: ‘What they’re doing is incestuous.’

Cissy believes that Nick is taking advantage of Bobbi, and her issues. She’s even gone so far as to request that the Whitney Houston Estate get involved, and evict him from Whitney’s $1.2 million Atlanta townhouse, where he’s living with Bobbi.

A source told Star Magazine, “Nick proposed to Krissy on March 10, and she said yes. Krissy said Nick is the only person she trusts in the world. They have a very deep connection.”

TMZ has some new photos of Bobbi and Nick out in public, and she’s proudly displaying a large engagement ring.

Star says the couple are keeping the news quiet for now – but quotes other sources expressing concern and suspicion at the time of the proposal.

‘Everyone is worried that Nick is looking to take advantage of Krissy,’ a friend told the publication, referring to the $10m Bobbi is set to inherit from her late mother.

Bobbi and Nick were apparently spotting kissing and holding hands together last Friday outside a Target store in Johns Creek, Georgia, according to Hollywoodlife.com.

Nick added fuel to speculation about their relationship status when he tweeted last week: ‘Yea we got a little closer and what!!!’

Gordon also posted a picture of himself and Bobbi Brown to his Twitter page on Friday.

Nick also told fans only to follow Bobbi Kristina’s real account.

He tweeted: ‘Good morning everyone. Their lots of fake people pretending to be MY Krissi. The real one is @REALbkBrown. Fakes need to get un followed (sic)’

Bobbi has not been on the social networking website since December but she and Nick tweeted each other regularly in the months towards the end of last year.

It does seem weird to me that Bobbi would get engaged to her “brother”. Seems like she’s really hurting, and looking for love. Who knows.
