Victoria Beckham is set to launch legal action against fashion label Rock & Republic over loss of earnings, according to reports.

The former Spice Girl signed a deal with the company in 2004 to make her dVb brand jeans, but split from the firm two years later amid reports of a fall out with owner Michael Ball.

Now Beckham is believed to be filing a lawsuit against Rock & Republic, claiming it owes her up to $100 million in lost earnings, reports British newspaper The Mail on Sunday.

A High Court listing obtained by the paper shows Beckham Brand Ltd, a company established by the singer and her soccer ace husband David, filed a claim against Rock & Republic last month.

There are no further details as a claim form has not yet been served on Rock & Republic. However Beckham is reported by the Mail on Sunday to be seeking compensation for lost earnings as the denim range was not as profitable as she was led to believe.

It’s not the first time the dVb range has attracted controversy - last month, the owner of Los Angeles boutique Kitson slammed Beckham for failing to promote her denim brand at the store.

Geri Halliwell admits her friendship with Victoria Beckham suffered a huge blow when she walked out on the Wannabe hitmakers in 1998, and their rocky relationship was blighted further when the style queen failed to invite her to her wedding to soccer superstar David in 1999.

But Halliwell insists she has once again grown close to the mum-of-three after the Spice Girls’ recent reunion tour, because balancing the stresses of a pop career with motherhood has helped them to move past their previous conflicts.

She says, “I have huge admiration for Victoria. She had her boys with her the whole time (during the tour) and she’s done such a great job with them - they are all so well mannered and caring. We are actually the biggest supporters of each other. We feel really proud of one another, particularly when you add this bond of motherhood.”

Halliwell has a daughter, Bluebell Madonna, who turns two next month.

Victoria Beckham’s new favorite designer has landed a role on hit sitcom Ugly Betty.

Beckham appeared on the show last year and now reality TV contest winner Christian Siriano has joined the cast.

The young designer was picked as Beckham’s favorite in the recent finale of Heidi Klum’s Project Runway show, and he has since styled the pop star.

Siriano will play himself on Ugly Betty in an episode that will air in America on May 1st.

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia, who has reportedly been sacked as Elle’s fashion director this week, will also appear on the show.

Not long after the owner of trendy L.A. boutique Kitson went public with his displeasure over Victoria Beckham’s failure to make any in-store appearances to promote her pricey denim line, dVb, the singer miraculously showed up earlier today at the celeb-friendly shop.

The Spice Girl, followed by a phalanx of photographers popped into the store on Robertson Blvd. on Tuesday for a quickie 15-minute shopping trip.

So does that mean that all is well between Posh and Kitson? “Our meeting went great and I hope we can get dVb back on track,” the store’s owner, Frasier Ross, told OK! following today’s visit by the British singer.

Victoria Beckham’s new best friends may be Hollywood’s biggest stars – but Tom Cruise is concerned that the Spice Girl is rubbing off on his wife just a bit too much.

According to my spies in LA, the actor is keen to put some distance between his actress wife Katie Holmes and Victoria, who have morphed into each other.

“Katie sees Victoria as a role model,” says my mole. “She copies Victoria’s look and even cut her hair the same way.

But it concerns Tom that Katie has lost so much weight recently.

“She is very thin largely because she is following Victoria’s strict 900-calories-a-day eating plan. She is copying Victoria’s fad of eating seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans. She is tiny.”
