For $104,000 you could buy a one-bedroom flat in Victoria Beckham’s home town of Harlow in Essex and still have $13,000 left over.

But for fashionista Victoria that is simply the cost of her newest handbag – a designer Birkin bag studded with hundreds of diamonds.

The silver Himalayan was Victoria’s Christmas present from husband David and cost the footballer nearly a week’s worth of his wages at AC Milan.

As the rest of the world draws in its belts and tries to ride out the recession it appears that the Beckham’s are feeling more extravagant than ever.

Victoria showed off her new piece of kit, one of only three in the world, as Beckham made his debut for the club in Dubai.

The 34-year-old former Spice Girl is said to be ‘delighted’ with the bag, which features a three-carat diamond on the lock.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s not as easy as everyone would think for David buying his wife a present every year, she is the woman with everything.’

‘But David knows the French fashion house is her favourite and he sorted the gift in Los Angeles from one of the few powerful fashion buyers who could get one.’

The waiting list for a Hilmalayan like Victoria’s has closed, with those already on it having to wait four years.

These ex-BFF’s have their new campaigns released on the same day.  What a coincidence?  Hardly.

While Victoria Beckham leaves little to the imagination for Giorgio Armani - Katie Holmes takes a more serious look for Miu Miu.

Victoria Beckham reveals the sizzling results of her first lingerie shoot for designer Giorgio Armani.

After being persuaded by Italian fashion boss Giorgio Armani to pose in the series of adverts, the 34-year-old reveals her enviable figure in a polka-dot bra and high-cut thong set which leave little to the imagination.

The mother-of-three has complained in the past that she looks ‘really awful naked’.

‘There are loads of things I don’t like about my body’, she said. ‘I’ve got so much saggy skin on my stomach.’

The pictures of Victoria, which will grace billboards and magazines are from her first shoot in the three-year multi-million dollar deal.

Victoria landed the $17.5 million dollar modelling deal late last year, following in the footsteps of her football superstar husband David, 33, who posed in his underwear for a high-profile Armani campaign which attracted thousands of fans at its unveiling in San Francisco in 2008.

She said at the time: ‘To be given this opportunity to work with Armani is thrilling. I have so much respect for him.’

While Armani himself praised Victoria, herself a designer, as ‘a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business.’

Victoria Beckham says she and her famous BFFs — Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria Parker and Kate Beckinsale — love to joke about crazy pregnancy rumors.

“You get a little water retention; it’s not news,” Beckham, 34, says in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “Me, Katie, Eva and Kate always joke about how one of us is allegedly pregnant, but no, we’re just a little bloated today! None of us is pregnant.”

But that doesn’t mean Beckham wouldn’t like to have more kids. Already mom to three boys – Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 3 – she says she’s ready for a daughter.

“I’m such a girl’s girl,” she says. “I walk into my closet and go, ‘Crikey!’ To one day hand that down to another girl….”

She also opens up about her “very disciplined” diet.

“It’s funny; I go to the gym now,” she says. “I run four miles a day.”

Before events, “I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into ‘Victoria Beckham.’ I’ll try on all my dresses, and I’ll pick out a handbag, and I’ll put on shades. I instantly turn into into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it…But it’s a true character because it’s still me.”

She dolls herself up anytime she leaves the house.

“If I go to the supermarket looking like s–t, that affects my work. I am selling an image,” she says. “Plus, I have fun with it.”

She adds that she is learning not to have a scowl on her face all the time.

“I have started smiling,” she says. “I’ve mastered this smirk; it’s a smile that isn’t a smile.” (She looks angry sometimes, she explains, because she’s “had so many things said about me over the years, like a public bullying.”)

Meanwhile, she says her nine-year marriage to David Beckham is going well.

“We’ve had a lot of ups and downs,” she admits. “I love him more now than when I first met him.

“Back then, there was a certain innocence,” she says. “I look back and think if only I knew then what I know now. I’ve toughened up a lot.”

Victoria Beckham leaves the Claridges Hotel and heads back home to her boys in L.A. Victoria was in London for a few days without David and her boys, to promote her new clothes collection.
