Victoria Beckham’s new favorite designer has landed a role on hit sitcom Ugly Betty.

Beckham appeared on the show last year and now reality TV contest winner Christian Siriano has joined the cast.

The young designer was picked as Beckham’s favorite in the recent finale of Heidi Klum’s Project Runway show, and he has since styled the pop star.

Siriano will play himself on Ugly Betty in an episode that will air in America on May 1st.

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia, who has reportedly been sacked as Elle’s fashion director this week, will also appear on the show.

Not long after the owner of trendy L.A. boutique Kitson went public with his displeasure over Victoria Beckham’s failure to make any in-store appearances to promote her pricey denim line, dVb, the singer miraculously showed up earlier today at the celeb-friendly shop.

The Spice Girl, followed by a phalanx of photographers popped into the store on Robertson Blvd. on Tuesday for a quickie 15-minute shopping trip.

So does that mean that all is well between Posh and Kitson? “Our meeting went great and I hope we can get dVb back on track,” the store’s owner, Frasier Ross, told OK! following today’s visit by the British singer.

Victoria Beckham’s new best friends may be Hollywood’s biggest stars – but Tom Cruise is concerned that the Spice Girl is rubbing off on his wife just a bit too much.

According to my spies in LA, the actor is keen to put some distance between his actress wife Katie Holmes and Victoria, who have morphed into each other.

“Katie sees Victoria as a role model,” says my mole. “She copies Victoria’s look and even cut her hair the same way.

But it concerns Tom that Katie has lost so much weight recently.

“She is very thin largely because she is following Victoria’s strict 900-calories-a-day eating plan. She is copying Victoria’s fad of eating seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans. She is tiny.”

Victoria Beckham’s dVb fashion range has been dumped from a string of U.S. stores, following complaints of poor sales and a lack of promotional work from the star.

Top outlets Fred Segal and Kitson have dropped the singer’s denim collection and accused Beckham of not doing enough to help sell her products. Fraser Ross, owner of Kitson, has blamed the Spice Girl’s constant refusal to do in-store appearances for the commercial failure of the jeans, which sell for over $200 a pair.

He says, “We asked her PR people so many times for her to appear but she didn’t. Celebrity lines are no different from an album or music tour. They have to be promoted to sell.”

David Beckham loved dating his now wife Victoria Beckham when their relationship wasn’t in the public eye - hailing their time away from the media glare “amazing”.

The 32-year-old shared his first kiss with the former Spice Girl in a restaurant parking lot, and loved the secrecy surrounding their pairing when they began dating in 1997.

Speaking to U.S. TV talk show host Jay Leno on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, he said, ” For the first three months it was amazing because no one found out about us being together. We loved that because we could sneak around. Our first kiss was in the car park of a restaurant. We used to drive to places and just spend as much time together as possible and that was an amazing time in our relationship.”
