Victoria Beckham has signed a $6.4 million deal to design her own line of bags and shoes.

The former Spice Girl – whose husband David Beckham has just agreed to play for
the LA Galaxy soccer team – will lend her name to a line of handbags and shoes
to be sold in exclusive boutiques across the U.S.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “Victoria’s a real stickler for
detail so everything will be perfect. Her shoes will be as sexy as Christian
Louboutin’s – there’s a huge buzz about them over here.”

Victoria – who already designs a hit range of bags in Tokyo as well as her own
line of jeans and sunglasses – celebrated her new deal by having dinner with new
best friend Katie Holmes at Los Angeles’ The Ivy.

The source added, “Katie was so thrilled for Victoria. The more to Los Angeles
may seem like it’s all about David’s career but she isn’t resting on her
laurels. Her fashion projects were going great guns in Europe. And to have
landed such a major U.S. deal before she and her family have even moved there is
amazing. And it’ll open doors to other great things. Her A-list pals will be
seen wearing her designs so a clothes range is a natural progression.”

The 32-year-old mother of three has been busy house-hunting and looking for a
school for her three sons.

David has signed a $250 million deal to play for LA Galaxy and the family plan
to move from Madrid to Los Angeles in the summer.

Victoria and David Beckham are unlikely to be guests at Liz Hurley’s wedding after the two women fell out, reports claim.

Once bosom buddies, the singer turned fashion label owner and actress/model are apparently no longer on speaking terms after Posh realised she was being trashed behind her back.

According to the Sun the ex-Project Catwalk host had been making “nasty comments about [Victoria's] looks and weight to others on fashion shoots”.

“She also was saying really personal things about Victoria and the way she conducts herself,” the source added.

The tabloid goes on to claim that Mrs Beckham was understandably “furious and incredibly hurt” and has decided to ignore the godmother of sons Brooklyn and Romeo instead of holding any showbiz-style slanging match.

Hurley, 41, and Indian textile heir Arun Nayar will marry in two months time in Udaipur, western India.
