Meow! Jessica Simpson had some not so nice comments during an accidental run in with ex Nick Lacey and his current girlfriend actress Vanessa Minnillo.

Simpson, 30, (dining with beau Eric Johnson, mom Tina and four other pals) didn’t greet Lachey; instead, an observer tells Us, she angrily told her server: “‘I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money.’” (She and Lachey, 36, divorced in 2005.)

A Simpson confidante adds that the star “got nervous” when Lachey and his love of four years Minnillo, 29, unexpectedly showed up. “It was very weird and awkward.”

Indeed, another Red O witness tells Us she “got really loud and started drinking margaritas and doing shots of tequila” to deal with her former spouse’s presence.

“We shower, honestly, at least twice a day,” Minnillo, 29, told Parade.com.

“We shower in the morning and we shower at some point during the day or before bed. It’s so funny because we’ve turned it into an intimate time for each other,” the True Beauty host added of Lachey, 36, her beau of four years.

How do they both fit into the shower stall, anyway? “We both have our own shower heads, so we just talk while we’re soaping up and doing our hair,” the star explains.

But the scene doesn’t get too steamy, she insists: “It’s not a sexual thing and it’s not a romantic thing, it just becomes an intimate thing. You’re in your full form, so to speak, and you’re vulnerable and we just both let our guard down. I’ve had some of my most intimate conversations with him in the shower.”

And Lachey also does what he does best during those wash-up sessions: he sings! “It’s kind of cute; it’s become a routine,” Minillo says. “Sometimes I have to catch myself because I take for granted how beautiful his voice is and how it’s at the palm of my hand. So I try to appreciate whenever he does his warm-ups.”

The star also talks about the possibility of doing a reality show with her man — who famously starred in Newlyweds with ex-wife Jessica Simpson.

“I personally have no desire,” she claims. “Nick has done one before and he was very successful at it, and whatever he chooses to do with his future I will support him 100 percent. But me personally, I don’t know. I think that there’s something to be said for keeping intimate moments to yourself, but he said it best, ‘You never can say never.’ But I personally don’t want to do one.”

Thoughts on Simpson? “The past is the past,” she says.

“I am happy in a relationship,” Lachey told Good Day Philadelphia, PEOPLE reports. “I was single for a minute, there, and then we’ve kind of patched things up,” he added of his romance with Minnillo.

“They seemed very laid back and were very friendly to the staff and fellow patrons,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. The two called it an early night and headed out together around 9 p.m.

Nick and Vanessa, who split in June, have been spotted canoodling in NYC and LA in the past few weeks.

Vanessa Minnillo, who, after months of speculation, recently broke up with Nick Lachey, has wasted no time getting out there on the singles scene.

An insider tells Life & Style she saw Vanessa at the Reebok Easytone party in Beverly Hills on June 23. “She certainly wasn’t moping in the corner or looking upset over her breakup at all,” says the insider. “I saw her talking to three or four really cute guys. She totally seemed to be flirting and didn’t look like she was upset or anything.”

The insider says that the former Total Request Live co-host appeared to be having fun hanging out with a girlfriend. “Vanessa doesn’t strike me as the type of girl that will remain single for long. She looks like she’s on the prowl and that she’ll stop at nothing to get her prey.”
