They’ve been dating for more than a year, but Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens proved their romance is hotter than ever during an ultra-romantic vacation on the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos.

The High School Musical sweethearts escaped to the island paradise on July 6, and stayed at the exclusive, secluded Amanyara Resort on Malcolm’s Road Beach, where villas go for up to $8,000 a night. “They looked like a happy young couple,” says a witness who saw the pair “laughing all the time” and frolicking on the hotel’s beach during their week-long stay.

Although Zac, 20, and Vanessa, 19, went away together to be alone, they were friendly to the other tourists who recognized them, including a bunch of young HSM fans. “They were nice to all of the kids who approached them,” a fellow vacationer reveals. “They were a very gracious couple.”

Vanessa Hudgens has hit out at the “stupid people” who leaked nude photographs of her online last year.

The 19-year-old High School Musical star was devastated when the full frontal shots, she took to titilate boyfriend Zac Efron, appeared on the internet.

And she insists she has learned to get over the trauma - but still bears a grudge against the perpetrators.

Hudgens says, “I think people thought I took it lighter than I really did. For me, it was really tough because I’m a private person and for something like that to happen, it’s so mean. (It was) horrible… it sucked. But thankfully it’s over and it’s in the past.”

And she credits her fans and family with her recovery from the photo scandal: “My fans were amazing because they have stood by my side. They really are my core group. And my family’s always there for me. I just surround myself with good people and try to think of good things.”

Singer/actress Vanessa Hudgens has vowed to uphold her image as a role model for young girls - because she “only has one shot” to impress her fans.

The star came under fire when nude photographs of her were leaked online last year.

But the Disney teen queen insists she is doing her best to live up to the aspirations of her impressionable young admirers.

She says, “At the end of the day I have to be happy with myself. Just going to live my life and enjoy doing it. You only have one shot… of course I want to be a good role model and try to do my best but I’m still me.”

She’s only 19, but High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has some sage advice on love and relationships.

“If you really love someone, you shouldn’t have to work at it,” the actress tells Cosmo Girl! for its July/August issue, reports Entertainment Tonight. “You finish each others’ sentences and have the same sense of humor.”

As for her own love life – she’s dating HSM costar Zac Efron, 20 – it appears she’s taken her own advice.

According to the magazine, the two share an easy and affectionate relationship. Upon seeing the couple together, the magazine interviewer observes, “When [Vanessa] sees Zac, she runs over and they kiss, oblivious to the dozen of us in the room. She rubs his stomach, he puts his arm around her – these gestures say more than any statement she could make.”

Hudgens and Efron, who are currently filming HSM 3 in Utah, have certainly shown they’re not opposed to a little PDA. Prime example: This year’s MTV Movie Awards, where she planted a kiss on him as his name was announced.

But Hudgens – who endured a nude photo scandal last year – cautions teen girls who may be thinking of becoming more intimate with their boyfriends.

“You have to think it through, not just do something spur of the moment,” she says. “So that after it happens you won’t regret it. I think girls can be infatuated with their boyfriends and they have to remember [to put themselves] first.”
