Usher has lashed out at reports he has separated from his wife Tameka Foster.

The Yeah! singer married stylist Foster last September, and the pair welcomed a son, Usher Raymond V, two months later.

Online reports recently surfaced suggesting the couple split last month, but the star’s manager Benny Medina insists they are still together.

He says, “It’s 100 percent not true. Usher and Tameka are currently traveling in Europe together as a family on his promotional tour.”

And Usher has backed up the denial, telling U.S. chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres on her show due to be aired on Friday, how his 5-month-old son and wife are the main focus of his attention.
He says, “My approach of life…he is my reason for living – outside of my wife, obviously, for helping me have him.”

Foster has spoken out on several occasions of the difficulties she has faced since marrying the R&B hunk, telling America’s Essence magazine last year how the singer’s black female fans have made her life a misery.

She said, “We (black women) don’t like ourselves…he has a black girl, and it’s like, ‘She’s horrible and she’s ugly!’ OK, maybe I don’t fit the cookie-cutter standard – 25 and a size two – but this is who he loves.”

Usher is desperate to record collaborations with both rocker John Mayer and singer/songwriter Michael Buble.

The You Make Me Wanna hitmaker has included a duet with fellow singer Ne-Yo on his new album, Here I Stand, but has now picked out the two other stars for possible future projects.

And Usher has even picked out which songs he would like to reinterpret with each artist.

He says, “I’d like to do something with John Mayer on this song I have on my album called Something Special. I’d love him to play guitar and sing with me on that. And I’d love to perform my other song Forever with Michael Buble. I actually wrote that with the intention of him and me doing it together.”

People reports that Usher’s father, Usher Raymond III, passed away at an Atlanta hospital on Friday, the R&B star’s rep has confirmed.

The cause of death was not immediately known and Usher was unavailable for comment.

The funeral will take place this week at the Taylor funeral home chapel in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The release date of R+B star USHER’s new album has been thrown into doubt after his wife TAMEKA FOSTER ordered him to focus on their impending parenthood instead of his musical career, according to reports.
Stylist Foster, 37, is expected to give birth to the couple’s first child this winter (07), and gossip column PageSix claims she has banned Usher from making his pop comeback – which was scheduled for next month (Nov07) – until long after the tot is born.

According to a source, the Confessions singer “only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher’s focus to be on her and the baby”.

The source adds, “The album had been in the works for over a year… now it looks like it’s never going to happen.”

Usher’s fifth studio album, The Truth – his first in three years – is due for release in November.

Newlyweds Usher and Tameka Foster are going to have a boy, he revealed to PEOPLE Tuesday.

When asked what he is looking forward to most about being a new dad, Usher, 28, said his desires are pretty basic.

“I just want my son to fully be coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost,” he told PEOPLE at the USHER for Men and USHER for Women fragrance launch party at Cipriani in Manhattan.

“I’ve found that it is a step-by-step process. You can wish for a million and one things. But I hope that my son has the same energy I had as a child,” Usher said. “Hopefully, he won’t be as bad as me. I hope that he’s just a healthy son.”

Usher is already getting what he hopes for, considering he announced, “I want it to be a boy,” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in August.

On that same show he also gave some hints about what he’d name his male progeny. “If it’s a boy, I’m going to name him Usher,” the musician – full name Usher Raymond – said. “I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth. Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I’ll change the middle name.”

Mom-to-be, Foster, 37, told PEOPLE she’s feeling “beautiful” but having odd cravings.

“I eat ice all day,” she said. “It’s a weird thing. I love it. Now I’m thinking about ice. I want to find some ice.”

Foster also admits that while she’s aiming for a natural birth, it might not happen.

“I don’t want drugs,” she said. “I’ll try. I say that now. You call me about ten hours into labor. I’ll be asking for everything. Vicodin and everything.”

Also on hand was Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, who has reportedly clashed with Foster. Patton did not attend their wedding, but is looking forward to the couple’s birth. “I’m very excited about being a grandmother,” she said.
