Bon Jovi are planning a world tour.

The group release long-awaited new album ‘The Circle’ in November, and guitarist Richie Sambora has hinted that the LP will be followed by a series of concerts across the globe.

Asked about any plans to tour, the musician replied: “Next year. 2010, probably spring time we’ll get going. And we’re going to go for a long time. It’s going to be a big one.”

The rocker admitted they were planning to release a greatest hits compilation before working on any new material, but he and frontman Jon Bon Jovi couldn’t help themselves once they started working.

He added to Rolling Stone magazine: “We started having so much fun making this record, that we decided we would do a studio album first. It sounds fresh – I think we reinvented ourselves again.

“Jon and I had a wonderful time making it. We’re very proud of it – just getting down to mixing it right now. We hit a very prolific period in our songwriting.”

It was professional duty – to research a story on human trafficking – that led Current TV journalist Laura Ling into North Korea on March 17, her sister, TV personality Lisa Ling, said Friday on CNN.

According to Lisa, Laura Ling, 32, admitted to family members that she “very briefly” trespassed into enemy territory with colleague Euna Lee, 36. This led North Korea to detain the two journalists and sentence them to 12 years hard labor, which resulted in an international incident that this week saw former President Bill Clinton meet with North Korea’s President Kim Jong Il to arrange the release of the women – who were returned to American soil Wednesday.

“She did say that they touched North Korean territory very, very briefly,” Lisa Ling, 35, told CNN on Thursday. “She said that it was maybe 30 seconds, and everything just got sort of chaotic.” Adding that Laura has details she will provide, Lisa noted, “It’s a very powerful story and she does want to share it.”

In a phone conversation with Meredith Vieira that was aired live on Friday’s Today” show, Lisa (who, like Vieira, is a former cohost on The View), said it may take Laura some time to tell her tale, given that during her imprisonment she spent weeks not uttering a word.

“Even getting sentences out is challenging, because she’s not used to talking as much,” Lisa said of Laura’s current condition. “So we’re just taking things very, very easy with her.”

No Hot Water
She did say that her sister, who is at home with her family, is enjoying have fresh food again after subsisting on a less-than-adequate diet while under North Korean detention: primarily rice mixed with rocks, small vegetables and fragments of fried fish, “which she developed a reaction to,” Lisa told CNN.

“Bathing was a little bit difficult because they didn’t have hot water,” she also said. “So she would fill up buckets and she would say, ‘Okay, on Saturday I’m going to wash my hair.’ ”

As for those who stood watch over her sister, Lisa said, “I think she won a lot of her captors over. She had some really lovely things to say about the people who were watching her. She had two guards in her room at all times. And even though they couldn’t speak together, they developed a sort of strange kinship.”

Perhaps the most moving sight as the two women left the plane that brought them to the Bob Hope International Airport in Burbank, Calif., on Wednesday was Euna Lee’s embracing her young child Hana. Now that the mother is home, said Lisa Ling, “I hear that Euna’s 4-year old daughter does not want her to leave her sight. She keeps following her from room to room.”

So I’ve been talking to him every night — like, he’s my new BFF. Billie Joe Armstrong is my new BFF. It’s awesome. Nobody gets him. Like, he’s a very peculiar person and I’m really very meat-and-potatoes, way more than people think. So, we sort of negate each other’s … what other people perceive of us.”

On the Taylor Momsen Twitter feud:

“Oh, I would NEVER pick on a little girl! No, no, no. Somebody fucking — I would never Twit THAT. It didn’t make sense to me. Somebody took my picture down as well. I would never pick on a child. That’s stupid. I’ve been around for a long time and she can fucking — I don’t own blonde hair.”

On what she’s doing in NYC:

“Oh, I’m moving here! I am moving here! That’s what I’m doing here. That’s what we’re doing. I’m just getting my daughter into a school here and then we’re recording.”

Britney Spears has been nominated for not one, not two, not three; well, seven MTV Video Music Awards.

Last year, the pop princess made a brilliant return to the VMA stage when she took home three Moon Men trophies for “Piece of Me.”

And while we hate to remember this…

Could you believe it was only two years ago that Spears solidified her train wreck status at the VMAs in Las Vegas with her disastrous performance of “Gimme More” in front of an audience that included Megan Fox?

This year’s awards will be handed out and broadcast live on MTV from New York’s Radio City Music Hall on September 13. Russell Brand returns as host.

No word yet if Brit will be added to this year’s performance roster, which already includes Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Muse. Additional nominees and performers are expected to be announced later today.

While fans have been fawning over Taylor Lautner’s “New Moon” body, he’s not the only “Twilight” star who has washboard abs.

Taylor’s vampire co-star, Kellan Lutz, is giving the werewolf a run for his money and shared his secrets on staying fit with Seventeen Magazine.

“I get bored when I’m in the gym,” Kellan told the mag. “I usually can’t just lift weights without music. I get bored easily — I always have to be doing something active.”

So what sport, in particular, does Kellan like to sink his teeth into?

“I hate to run so for all the runners out there, I hate you. But I love to swim. I’m a fish, I have a pool in my backyard so every morning I will go swimming, even when it’s colder I’ll try to,” he explained. “I’ll have my dog swim with me but usually she doesn’t go under the water so we usually play a game… I play with my dog for a workout. It’s great. A lot of times I’m a loner, so I have to play games with myself.”

In addition, Kellan wears a pedometer to track how far he walks each day and how many calories he burns.

“I wear this thing as much as I can just for fun. It’s a motivator,” he added.

He also offered up some tips for more sedentary activities, like watching TV.

“If you watch TV a lot, it’s always good to not be a coach potato and do push-ups or crunches or lift some weights when the commercials are happening,” Kellan said.

Overall, Kellan said his philosophy to working out is all about having fun.

“Make games. Enjoy. Don’t be lazy… Try to find something that you’re into — running hiking, biking, swimming… Just make it fun,” he noted.
