Anne Burrell has confirmed she is gay, after she outed by fellow Food Network host, Ted Allen. Oops…

Burrell is the spikey-haired star of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and can also be seen on Iron Chef America and Worst Cooks in America. Chopped host Allen revealed on Romaine Patterson’s Sirius XM show that he is, “not going to put a label on Anne, but she is dating a woman right now.”

Sources say Burrell appeared alarmed when she learned of Allen’s comments while shooting her show, but wasn’t super angry about it.  Her rep says,

“Anne doesn’t feel she was outed. She has made no secret of her relationship. Her significant other is a very private woman. They have been together for a couple of years and spend a lot of time together. It is no secret in the culinary world.”

Burrell’s significant other is another James Beard-caliber chef, the source continues.  They seem happy and of course Burrell is proud of her identity, but I’d be pissed if someone shared private information about me over the radio, geez!

Jim Parsons, star of ‘The Big Bang Theory’, has quietly come out of the closet.

In a new profile in the New York Times, the actor is described as “gay and in a 10-year-relationship.”

Parsons never directly addresses his sexuality or elaborates on the remark in the profile, and his rep had no additional comment when reached.

The Times profile couches its revelation in the context of the actor’s most recent Broadway role as Tommy Boatwright in Larry Kramer’s powerful play, The Normal Heart, about gay men dying of AIDS in New York in the ’80s.

According to the profile, “The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.”

Parsons, 39, has won two Emmys and a Golden Globe Award for his role as Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS comedy.

He is currently appearing in the comedy Harvey on Broadway.

I love ‘The Big Bang Theory’, but I don’t ever really watch it. I’m not sure why? (I have a thing with sitcoms, I rarely watch them). Anyhoo, did anyone really think he was straight? Who’s surprised?

Comedy genius down!

Michael McKean, 64, was seen bleeding from the head after a car ran into him between W. 86th St. and Broadway just before 3 p.m. yesterday. Witnesses and the FDNY said McKean was brought to a Manhattan hospital in critical condition, but is now stable.

McKean is best known for his comedic filmwork, most notably for This is Spinal Tap and also for his work in television’s “Laverne and Shirley. ” His wife, actress Annette O’Toole, flew in from Los Angeles to be by her husband’s side.

Turns out, McKean is recovering from a broken leg and bruising, and should be okay!

Donna Summer is getting buried tomorrow, and Summer’s family is hoping her funeral won’t turn into a media circus.

According to Perez Hilton,  the Disco Queen will be laid to rest in Nashville tomorrow in a private ceremony, complete with guest list.   The church is expecting about 1,000 mourners to pay their last respects to Summer, despite aformentioned talk of a public tribute to the singer.

No word on celebrities who might be in attendance, but considering Summer’s influence and reach on the music industry, there will probably be some familiar- and famous- faces.

Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton did it UP last night!

Lindsay started her night out at an exclusive Hollywood club, X17 exclusively reports.  Then, she met up with Paris and her ex, DJ Sam Ronson.  The three ladies joined Paris’ younger brother Barron Hilton and Brandon Davis at a Hollywood Hills mega-mansion for some after hours partying that lasted until 7am in the morning!

Paris and Brandon walked out of the house through the garage, while Lindsay and Sam took a more direct route. Sounds like a rough night, but they don’t have to work in the morning.  ANY of them.  Oh, Hollywood!

Wayne Newton is complicating his business- and his reputation!

70-year-old Wayne is being sued by a former business partner who claims that he invested millions to turn Newton’s Vegas mansion into a museum but was stifled by Newton himself!  According to the lawsuit, Newton and his family continually interfered with the development plans by not leaving the mansion,  letting loose “vicious” dogs, and generally being difficult.

The worst part, however, is that Newton was harassing a young female employee during this time,  by giving her “wet, sloppy, and disgusting” kisses that were “clearly of a sexual nature.”  The young employee has yet to sue Newton, though Newton’s ex-partner is getting his legal rights on, suing for contract and fraud, and demanding unspecified damages.
