Robin Williams has paid tribute to his estranged wife Marha, thanking her for not turning their divorce battle into a messy and expensive affair.
Williams and his soon-to-be ex filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. And now the actor has gone public with his thoughts about the upcoming divorce battle.
Speaking on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show on Tuesday, Williams said, “I’m lucky… with someone like Marsha, and we have amazing kids and it’s not a slash and burn. I think a lot of times divorce can be like circumcision with a weed whacker.”

A disgruntled home owner is suing Bret Michaels for allegedly causing $380,000 worth of damage to the property where the singer’s Rock of Love TV show is filmed.
Ray Sahranavard has filed his lawsuit against Michaels and the show’s production company Mindless Entertainment Inc.
He claims at least $380,000 worth of damage was caused to his Encino, California home during the shooting of Michael’s reality dating show, which is nearing the end of its second season on U.S. TV.
Sahranavard initially sued Mindless Entertainment Inc. for breach of contract, fraud, negligence and negligent misrepresentation, but on Wednesday he added Michaels to the legal paperwork for alleged intentional destruction of property.
According to the suit, the damages include missing doors, holes in walls and ceilings and damaged landscaping. The owner also claims the whole house needed repainting.

Actor Verne Troyer, best known for his role as “Mini Me” in Austin Powers, was rushed to the hospital today, Usmagazine.com has learned.
A source close to Troyer, 39, says the actor was experiencing “flu-like symptoms” while shooting The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (Heath Ledger’s last movie) in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Adds the source, “He’s been working really hard on the film. They just wanted to hydrate him.”
A rep for Troyer denied that he was treated for a drug-related problem.
“Verne is fine and doing well and is back to work,” the rep tells Us.
Troyer checked into rehab for alcoholism in 2006.
He opened up to Us at a Grammy party in February about struggling with addictions.
“You have to have people help you,” he told Us. “You need to reach out and tell people that you have a problem and just say, ‘I need help.’ There are a lot of people out there that will help.”

Comedian Robin Williams is heading for a divorce – his wife Marsha has filed papers in a California court requesting a legal separation.
Producer Marsha Garces Williams, who had been married to the actor for 19 years, filed the petition in San Francisco last Friday (21Mar08) citing irreconcilable differences for the split.
The pair first met while Williams was still married to his first wife Valerie and Marsha was working as the couple’s nanny. They married in 1989, just months after the breakdown of his first union.
Robin and Marsha often worked together – she produced his films Mrs. Doubtfire and Patch Adams – and they founded Blue Wolf Productions and the organization Doctors Without Borders.
They have two children together: daughter Zelda, eighteen, and seventeen-year-old son Cody.

Country star and Dancing with the Stars alum Sara Evans, who underwent a very public divorce battle last year, has found love again with beau Jay Barker, a former quarterback at the University of Alabama – and the two now plan to marry, Evans’s rep, Lori Genes, tells People exclusively.
“The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials,” Genes says. The couple have yet to set a wedding date.
Evans, 37, who has three children with ex Craig Schelske, and Barker, who has four children from his previous marriage, began dating before Thanksgiving last year. Evans’s divorce was finalized in September.

Has-been comic Pauly Shore wants to be black!
Why? Well, here’s what he told a reader of worldstarhiphop.com:
“I need to be black, because if I was black, I’d be doing good. I mean, all the black comedians are doing good.
“You have [D.L.] Hughley, you have Monique, Cedric the Entertainer, Martin Lawrence, Charlie Murphy… Yeah, [Charlie's] funny. But the reason why he’s even working is because what?”
Pauly, 40, has an answer to his own question: “White people are screwed. Especially in my industry, they’re screwed. White people are going to be picking cotton within, like, literally within three years.”
If that weren’t offensive enough, Pauly also drags presidential candidate Barack Obama into his rant: “Do you understand? If you look at their presidential race, right now, who’s their No. 1 candidate? Barack Obama, who is… black!”
Some people just need to keep their mouths shut!
