It makes it easier having gone through working as a teenager and being told that there would be no career for me as a 20 year old. And then working as a 20 year old and being told that was it. And then having children and being told there wouldn’t be a career for me now. The characters I get to play as a mature woman are much more interesting than the ingénues I got to play as a kid, so I feel okay about it”

Uma Thurman has been forced to deny she is expecting her first child with fiance Arki Busson following reports she purchased a bundle of over-sized dresses to prepare for pregnancy.

According to New York Daily News reports on Monday, the actress’ assistant called luxury retailer Fred Segal last week, ordering six dresses two sizes too large for the star.

But a representative for Thurman insists the reports are false, telling Usmagazine.com: “She is absolutely not pregnant. She also did not order any clothes from Fred Segal. We are trying to find out if someone used her name to order clothes that were not meant for her.”

Thurman was forced to deny she was pregnant in July, just after announcing her engagement to Busson, when pictures of the 38-year-old in a bikini on vacation sparked reports she was expecting.

The Kill Bill star has two children, Maya, 10, and Levon, six, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke.
