Last night marked the world premiere of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,’ with Team Edward, Team Jacob, heck, every Twi-hard worth their salt (and with, y’know, like four spare days to camp out in a parking lot) in attendance at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner looked hot as always. Kristen Stewart and all the other ladies in the cast looked gorgeous as ever!!

Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) on how she wishes the “Twilight” premieres could be:

“I wish I didn’t have to show up in these dresses – we look like demigods when we show up. I want to be able to run around and not have my feet feeling like they’re going to fall off.” She adds, “We are put on this pedestal, and we really have this exact same love for the book.”

Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) on changes since the first film:

“It’s funny when something comes out of nowhere. We used to drive to set with a little minivan with the entire cast, and two years later it’s this. It seems like it will blow over quickly but it doesn’t happen.”

Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Cullen) jokingly responded when asked about his Twitter account:

“I have a fake Rob Pattinson Twitter account that I really like to post on. Like, “today I took a shower – that never happens.”

Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) on keeping his famous six pack:

“They’ll have to be good until the end of this franchise. If I start cheating and getting lazy, they’ll go like *that* and we have two more movies to make.”

“Eclipse” director, David Slade on what fans can expect in the new film:

“We did this one with lots of true love…and caressing, kissing, making out, and dry humping. It’s not in the trailer but it’s all in the film.”

Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) on being recognized without his character’s signature facial hair after the success of the franchise:

“Without the pornstache it does not happen as often as you’d think. That was kinda the plan from the get go, you get rid of the pornstache and you’re incognito.”

The last two Twilight movies have earned more than $1 billion worldwide and supercharged their careers. Kristen Stewart is about to shoot an adaptation of Jack Karouac’s On the Road, Taylor Lautner’s embarking on John Singleton’s action thriller Abduction, and Robert Pattinson’s starring alongside Reese Witherspoon as a veterinarian in a traveling circus in Water for Elephants. The actors make an extremely tight trio: honest, protective of each other, and warmly familial. In person, as on screen, Pattinson and Lautner’s mutual affection for Stewart is the tie that binds.

EW: Taylor, you and Rob have some pretty serious confrontations in this movie.

Lautner: Some of those scenes were pretty hard for me. I think we ruined a couple of takes in front of the house and in the tent. It’s just, I don’t know, I have a hard time looking at him…

Stewart: Ha! “I have such a hard time looking at him”!

Lautner: {Laughs} I wasn’t finished. He and I were thisclose to each other – we are literally, like, an inch away – and we’re screaming at each other.

Stewart: About to kiss…

Lautner: A couple of moments it felt like that.

Pattinson: Every single time we had to do a threatening thing to each other – for one thing, you always have your shirt off, and so in the tent scene I literally grabbed your breast. And it’s very difficult to remain in the moment. Also, in that tent scene, I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart.

Stewart: The word thought does not sound like fart.

Pattinson: It does.

Stewart: Maybe because you are an English person.

Pattinson: The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that.

EW: So do you feel more at peace about being in the spotlight these days?

Stewart: I just feel more comfortable, more myself, and I feel less bare. I feel much more like nobody can take anything from me. Before, I felt literally like my chest was cracked open and people could just reach in and examine and pick at anything they wanted, and it just freaked me right out.

EW: You got a lot of criticism recently for comparing the intrusiveness of the paparazzi to rape. The comment got blown out of proportion very quickly, and you apologized.

Stewart: I’m so sensitive about stuff like that. It is the one subject that means a lot to me. I made one movie directly concerning it and I made another one where my character has a horrible history of rape. I talked to a lot of people about it. I used the wrong word. I should have said “violated.” But I’m young and emotional. It’s just the way it goes sometimes. I probably shouldn’t say this, but I just feel like people got so excited once they saw that it was me. It was like, “Sweet! Lets get her!” And then for the people to exploit it under the guise of being morally upstanding is disgusting – and it embarrassed me because I was part of it.

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart continue to promote “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” without Robert Pattinson. This time they make a stop in Stockholm, Sweden.

As I’m sitting here working, I’m listening to the Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack, and wow – it’s amazing! I’ll post my review lately, but it’s so good!

Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson believes that so many great things have happened to him in such a short amount of time, that as a result, he believes he’ll die at an early age. Robert was being interviewed by Nightline (aired last night) when he made the startling confession.

“I guess I just thought if too many good things happen, then you’re going to die at 30 — I didn’t want that to happen,” Pattinson said. “Yeah, so probably, I’m going to die at 30. Actually, it’s God saying, ‘Hey, you shouldn’t have asked for too much.’”

He said one drawback to being so successful is his lack of privacy.

“I used to spend a lot of time walking in cities by myself, and I can’t really do that without being, um, a little paranoid,” he said. “You get better at hiding and you get better at choosing which areas are the right areas to go to.”

Following in the footsteps of the upcoming final ‘Harry Potter’ films, Summit Entertainment announced Friday that ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ will be split into two separate films, E! Online reports. The first installment will hit theaters on Nov. 18, 2011. Melissa Rosenberg is nailing down the new scripts, which will be directed by Academy Award winner Bill Condon. The press release states production on ‘Breaking Dawn’ will begin this fall.

‘Breaking Dawn’ is based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Twilight’ series and is set to star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan and returning members of the Cullen family, including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

Fans of ‘Twilight’ got a taste of ‘Eclipse,’ the forthcoming third film in the blockbuster series (opening June 30), during the MTV Movie Awards.
