This is probably the worst movie trailer in history. If I didn’t tell you what the movie was about – you probably wouldn’t know. Heck, I know what the trailer is about – and I still don’t get it.
The trailer is for ‘Soul Surfer’, the true life story of Bethenny Hamilton, the surfing star who lost her arm in 2003 in a shark attack.
What’s interesting, is they choose not to show any of that in the trailer. Isn’t that what the movie’s about? I mean – why else would she be getting her own movie? There’s a quick glimpse at Carrie Underwood, who stars as someone interesting, I’m sure. AnnaSophia Robb (who starred in Bridge to Terabithia and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) plays Bethenny.
Hopefully the movie is better than the trailer… the trailer blows!
Here’s the red band (aka NAUGHTY) trailer for Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher’s new movie, ‘No Strings Attached’.
When I watched the first trailer – I thought this movie seemed like every other romantic comedy out there. But after seeing this newer, raunchier trailer, I stand corrected! The trailer kinda made me blush!
In this comedy, Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) are life-long friends who almost ruin everything by having sex one morning. In order to protect their friendship, they make a pact to keep their relationship strictly “no strings attached.” “No strings” means no jealousy, no expectations, no fighting, no flowers, no baby voices. It means they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, in whatever public place they want, as long as they don’t fall in love. The question becomes- who’s going to fall first? And can their friendship survive?
The film co-stars Mindy Kalig of ‘The Office,’ Jake M. Johnson of ‘Paper Heart,’ Greta Gerwig of ‘Greenberg,’ and Ludacris. It hits theaters January 21st.
To call insurance agent Tim Lippe (Ed Helms), “naive” is a gross understatement. He’s never left his small hometown. He’s never stayed at a hotel. And he’s never experienced anything like Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sent to represent his company at the annual insurance convention, Tim is soon distracted by three convention veterans (John C. Reilly, Anne Heche and Isiah Whitlock Jr.) who will show him the ropes and push his boundaries. For a guy who plays everything by the book, this convention will be anything but conventional.
“Hanna” tells the story of a former CIA operative who goes rogue, raising his daughter in the most remote location he can find, training her every day to be an unstoppable killer. There’s a very particular mission that he’s training her for, and it looks like the film is the story of what happens on the day that mission is activated.
The film stars Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, and Saoirse Ronan, and I think it looks amazing!
Cannot wait!! I love Brad Pitt and Sean Penn! This is a beautiful trailer for the new film, ‘Tree of Life’ from Terrence Malick.
“At the end of the 1960’s in Texas, Jack O’Brien (Sean Penn), the the eldest of three brothers, just lost his younger brother. And he remembers his childhood. The Tree of life traces the evolution of an eleven-year-old boy in the Midwest. At first all seems marvelous to the child. He sees as his mother (Jessica Chastain)does, with the eyes of his soul. She represents the way of love and mercy, where the father (Brad Pitt) tries to teach his son the world’s way, of putting oneself first. Each parent contends for his allegiance, and Jack must reconcile their claims. The picture darkens as he has his first glimpses of sickness, suffering and death. The world, once a thing of glory, becomes a labyrinth.
Framing this story is that of adult Jack, a lost soul in a modern world, seeking to discover amid the changing scenes of time that which does not change: the eternal scheme of which we are a part. When he sees all that has gone into our world’s preparation, each thing appears a miracle — precious, incomparable. Jack, with his new understanding, is able to forgive his father and take his first steps on the path of life.”
I love me some Topher Grace! What do I love even more? 80′s movies! This movie, also starring Anna Faris (love her!) looks great!
The movie looks like Topher will be reprising his role as Eric Forman, a grad who isn’t really going anywhere with his life. This isn’t a huge surprise, considering the movie written by Jackie and Jeff Filgo – the writers and producers of That 70′s Show.
The movie comes out March 4, 2011. Watch the trailer above!
Trivia: At around 1:38 – the man proposing to Anna Faris is her husband, Chris Pratt!
