***SORRY PEEPS, HAD TO REMOVE THE PICS. YOU CAN SEE THEM AT THE SOURCE***
Tori Spelling is incredibly fussy when it comes to her canine companions and recently interviewed 20 people to be her dog walker. The pregnant star and husband Dean McDermott have two dogs, Mimi La Rue and Ferris, and were searching for someone qualified to help take care of them.
A source tells Star the couple was interviewing candidates “who liked dogs, had skill in handling small, high-strung dogs and had solid references” and eventually settled on “a woman who was nice and motherly enough”.
Although the star admits she pampers her pooches, she insists she draws the line when it comes to therapy for her dogs. She hits out at a recent tabloid report claiming her pug Mimi La Rue was in therapy, adding, “Do they even have shrinks for animals?”
WTF is wrong with this picture!! She’s taking her dog for a walk in a stroller!? That I SO do not understand.
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are expecting a baby boy, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
“We are thrilled to be having a son together,” says Spelling, 33. “Little boys are a ton of fun. We love talking to him. We play tunes for him and watch him kick. He already loves the Dixie Chicks! We went to their concert and he kicked the whole time.”
McDermott, 39, who has a son, Jack, 8, from a previous marriage, adds: “Now Jack will have the baby brother he’s been wanting!” (This will be Spelling’s first child.)
The boy will be given the middle name Aaron after Spelling’s late father, legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling, who died in June. “Yes, his middle name will be Aaron,” Spelling, who is six months pregnant, says. “Dean and I feel it’s the perfect way to honor the memory of my father.”
The parents-to-be are still deciding on a first name.
The couple spent Sunday morning shopping for their baby’s first clothes at the celeb favorite Intuition – where Spelling had ordered a hooded blue bath towel embroidered with the name Aaron.
“When she saw the towel with her dad’s name on it, she got a little emotional,” says Intuition owner Jaye Hersh. “She said she was so happy they were having a boy so she could honor her dad. It means a lot to her.”
The couple also bought a selection of onesies, booties, a baby food organizer and two diaper bags for mom and dad.
“They are so excited to be parents,” says Hersh. “It was the first time Tori was shopping for clothes for her baby boy, and they loved picking out little outfits for him. Dean was really into the clothes, and he carried all the packages out of the store. He’s very protective of her.”
Tori Spelling is following in Kirstie Alley’s footsteps – by holding a yard sale. The five-months pregnant actress and her husband, actor Dean McDermott, will be selling wares at their Studio City, Calif., home starting Friday at 9 a.m.
“I’m having the sale because we’re moving and my taste has changed,” Spelling tells PEOPLE. “Plus I’m a notorious pack rat; I keep everything. And I wanted to get organized before the baby arrives, so this seemed the perfect time to clean house. It feels good!”
The couple are looking to buy a bed and breakfast for their upcoming reality show on the Oxygen cable network. They started filming about two weeks ago and looked at properties for the first time this week. “It’s been really fun so far!” says Spelling. “But we’re going to decorate the B&B modern, so I’m going to sell all the Shabby Chic-style furniture and accessories I’ve collected over the years.”
Apart from furniture, Spelling is also getting rid of Beverly Hills, 90210 memorabilia, vintage and new designer clothes, her antique chintzware collection, signed scripts, artwork, chandeliers, and “jeans that my preggers butt can’t fit into anymore,” Spelling says jokingly. The couple are expecting their first child together this spring.
Besides running a bed & breakfast with husband Dean McDermott for their upcoming Oxygen network series, the pregnant Tori Spelling intends to do something else between the sheets – write a memoir.
Simon & Schuster will publish the book by the former Beverly Hills 90210 star and expectant mom, who is due this spring. The collection of recollections will be complied when “the baby is napping,” Spelling tells USA Today, and will likely be done with the help of a ghostwriter.
Spelling, 33, had yet to inform her family, with whom she’s had a tense relationship, about the book. According to the newspaper, she planed to tell brother Randy Spelling, 28, over the weekend. (She described her relationship with him as only “okay”).”I certainly hope that (the book) doesn’t cause more damage,” says Tori.
