Tori Spelling has written a children’s book.

The actress - who has previously penned autobiographies ‘STORItelling’ and ‘Mommywood’ - has revealed her latest literary venture, but admits it won’t be in the shops any time soon.

She said: “I just wrote an illustrated children’s book. It’s going to be launching in about a year, but I just finished the text.”

Tori - who is estranged from her mother Candy Spelling - has two children with husband Dean McDermott, Liam, two, and 13-month-old Stella is sharing her favourite childhood books with them until she is able to read them her own work.

She added: “Liam’s favorite is ‘Goodnight Moon’ by Margaret Wise Brown. I introduced him to that because when I was little, my mom used to read that to me and I loved it!”

Tori’s most recent venture was also for children.

The 36-year-old star has designed a range of kids’ clothes, Little Maven, which she says is inspired by the garments worn by Liam and Stella.

It is due to hit shops later this year.

The family are on vacation on the beautiful island of Maui. Tori was sporting a pink bikini and looked very thin. Dean and Liam wore boardshorts and rash vests. They splashed around in the water for a few moments before heading back to their hotel.

The feud between Tori and Candy spelling is getting downright nasty as Candy Spelling has come out and blamed Tori for the death of her husband (and Tori’s dad) Aaron Spelling.

In an interview with 94.7 WMAS this morning Candy said “it was sad because that’s what killed my husband actually. He just didn’t want to live after that. You know, He had done everything … he could possibly do for his daughter and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.” in reference to Tori’s ongoing rift with the family.

For her part, Tori claims “”I love my mother. I’ve always loved her [and] no doubt she loves me. There’s no feud. We simply never meshed, my mother is who she is. I’ve become who I am. At some point I realized those two just didn’t go together.”

Wow Candy, that’s pretty harsh!

Tori Spelling expected an intimate dinner for her birthday on May 16, but her husband, Dean McDermott, had other plans: a surprise party! “Dean threw a surprise birthday party for Tori at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. “He rented a poolside cabana for 20 people. She had absolutely no idea it was happening until she got there! Dean got a big birthday cake made that had a picture of Tori surrounded by hearts.” And it seems the birthday girl enjoyed her party! “Tori looked very happy and was super nice to everyone. She looked lovely in a long pale-blue-and-cream dress and flip flops,” says the eyewitness.
