Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee is not exactly Dr. Feelgood these days.
The drummer will be off his kit for several Crue Fest 2 shows after burning his left hand last week while playing with a set of sparklers. Sevendust’s Morgan Rose “came charging in like a knight in shining armor” according to a note on bassist Nikki Sixx’s MySpace site, starting with Friday’s show in Cincinnati. Lee, his left thumb and forefinger wrapped in bandages, is still taking part in the shows, coming on first to explain his absence — “First of all, I suck. I was having fun and I burned myself,” he told Saturday’s crowd at the DTE Energy Music Theatre near Detroit — then to hand a bottle of Jagermeister to the crowd and, during he encores, play piano on “Home Sweet Home” and thump on a drum with his right hand for “Girls, Girls, Girls.”
There’s no official word about when Lee will be able to play drums again. Crue Fest 2 runs through Sept. 2.
In his MySpace posting, Sixx noted that “accidents do happen and, yes, frustration does happen to everybody, including Tommy, who would rather play drums (even with a damaged hand) than just about anything in the whole world. But following doctor’s orders for a few shows is what we have to (do) right now (or cancel shows). We all wanna say we’re sorry Tommy has to sit out a couple shows, but we hope to have him back up on the drums ASAP.”
Sixx also saluted Rose as “the hero of the day…I think Morgan needs a standing ovation for his dedication to kicking ass and helping not only Motley Crue out, but the road crew and everybody else out here whose lives would (have) been effected…As for now, Motley Crue is a five-piece band — making history, one injury at a time, hahhaha…

Tommy Lee had to step in to separate his ex and his current girlfriend when Erin Naas and Kimberly Stewart clashed in a nightclub last week.
Lee and Stewart were hanging out at Los Angeles’ Hyde nightclub celebrating the birthday of the socialite’s brother Sean, when Naas showed up with friends.
In Touch Weekly reports the rock star had to separate the two women after Stewart took exception to what appeared to be Haas’ interest in her man.
A fellow reveller tells the publication, “Kimberly freaked out because Tommy walked right over to Erin. She started making faces and then threw a lollipop at Erin’s head!”
Lee stepped in to calm the women down, and forced Stewart to apologize.
A pal insists Stewart had nothing to fear: “Erin has zero interest in Tommy other than as a friend.”

Don’t tell Pamela Anderson, but her ex-husband can’t stay away from meat.
Rocker Tommy Lee agreed to give vegetarianism a try when he recently reconciled with his meat-free ex, but he admits he can’t give up burgers.
He says, “There’s been two times now, where I’ve driven by In-N-Out and I’m like, `Pull the damn car over, I need a triple-triple (burger), dude.’”

Tommy Lee wants Johnny Depp to play him in a movie based on Motley Crue’s memoirs.
The drummer insists Depp is the perfect actor to portray him on the big screen – because he thinks he and the Pirates of The Caribbean star share many of the same character traits.
Lee says, “Johnny Depp would be my choice to play me. He’s the best (actor) ever. We’re working on the film, trying to find the right producers and director and all that sort of stuff.”

Tommy Lee has become an environmental task master at home after hosting new green show Battleground Earth with rapper Ludacris.
The two stars spent months visiting eco-warriors throughout the U.S. in a bid to live greener lives and the experience has had a huge effect on the drummer.
As well as planting an eco-friendly new lawn outside his California home, Lee is teaching his sons to be more resourceful.
He explains, “I’ll tell my kids, `You guys have got to turn the lights off.’ I’ve put motion detectors in their rooms so when they’re not in there, the lights go off.”

Pamela Anderson has confirmed she and ex-husband Tommy Lee are back together, insisting they make a “great package”.
Anderson was married to the Motley Crue rocker for three years until they split in 1998. But they have spent more and more time together recently, and Lee recently claimed his ex and their two sons Dylan, 10 and Brandon, 12, had moved back in with him – and were trying to be a happy family.
And now the former Baywatch star has revealed the on-off couple has no plans to break ties, because Lee is such an important part of her family.
She says, “We are great friends, we are a package deal that’s for sure. I am spending a lot of time with him this summer… We enjoy spending time together… It’s just one of those things. He is the father of your kids and you can’t get rid of them.”
Anderson adds, “My family, kids and Tommy are my priority, and they are my focus.”
Since her marriage to Lee, Anderson has wed and divorced rock/rapper Kid Rock, and her brief marriage to film producer Rick Salomon was annulled earlier this year.

Tommy Lee has “gone veggie” in a bid to build a new romance with his ex-wife Pamela Anderson.
The former Baywatch babe, who is a longtime vegetarian and animal rights activist, has moved in with Lee, sparking reports of a romantic reunion.
And the Motley Crue star has confirmed the on-off couple is giving their relationship another chance, stating, “Pamela and the kids have moved in with me. It’s awesome, man. It’s definitely working.”
And his decision to quit meat may have helped him win back the wife he divorced 10 years ago.
He says, “I just went vegetarian (and) I dig it, I feel lighter, I like it. I figured that this is something I hadn’t done yet but wanted to. At this point in my life, I’m down to trying anything I haven’t done yet.”
