The Spice Girls are keeping a blog and updating news on their official website as they prepare for a world tour. An item today detailed some famous rehearsal visitors – and some good friends of the Beckhams – Tom, Katie and Suri Cruise:
The Spice Girls had some surprise visitors at rehearsals in LA recently when Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes along with baby Suri stopped by to wish them luck for the forthcoming tour.
Tom and Katie enjoyed an impromptu audience with the girls and were treated to an exclusive performance, while Suri danced along to the music.
“David and I are great friends with Tom and Katie,” Victoria told us afterwards “It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise. Katie has told me before that she used to be a big Spice fan so it was great for her to meet the other girls.”

Here is Tom with a fat suit on for a cameo in the upcoming comedy, Tropic Thunder- directed by Ben Stiller & slated for a mid-2008 release.
The nutty father of the adorable little Suri Cruise is believed to be playing a studio mogul in the movie, which also features appearances from Matthew McConaughey, Katie Holmes, & Tobey Maguire. Looks like Tom has a gut feeling about this film.
The cast looks pretty decent … would you wait to rent it on DVD?

Katie looks beautiful!

Katie Holmes today joined more than 39,000 other runners competing in the New York marathon.
With husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri, 1, cheering her on at the finish line, Holmes completed the 42.1km (26.2 mile) run in 5 hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds. Cruise’s mother and Holmes’ parents were also on hand to see her complete the marathon.
Holmes, 28, has previously credited running with helping her shift the weight she gained while pregnant with Suri.

“I have always loved to run,” Holmes told Harper’s Bazaar in March. “It has helped me lose the extra baby weight.”
British world record-holder Paula Radcliffe won the women’s event, finishing in 2 hours 23 minutes and 9 seconds.
The men’s event was won by Kenyan Martin Lel, in 2 hours 9 minutes and 3 seconds.
