This is just the sickest thing one could possibly do. A man was posing as Heath Ledger’s father, calling up news stations and even Tom Cruise and was trying to obtain information from them.

The unnamed caller was taped telling a reporter that Ledger’s death was a “mistake” and claimed that Ledger loved daughter Matilda “to bits,” among his other fabrications. TMZ spotted Ledger’s dad, Kim — the real one — today at Heath’s SoHo apartment, where he stayed for about an hour and left.

Reports have claimed that the impostor called Tom Cruise and the funeral home where Heath was taken, as well as the cops and medical examiner. Halle Berry’s rep says that the fake Kim Ledger did not call Halle, and TMZ has contacted reps for John Travolta and Mel Gibson, who were also said to have been contacted.

That’s just sick!

Perhaps Suri Cruise will be an entertainer after all.

Not only is the 21-month-old a fan of the Spice Girls, she also digs American Idol.

Mom Katie Holmes — who is getting panned by critics for her latest comedy Mad Money — revealed the scoop on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM show this morning.

When Seacrest said he could hook the Cruise clan up with some tickets, the soft-spoken Holmes said, “I would be very grateful.”

Holmes, who made several TV appearances this week, gushed (some more) about Tom Cruise.

“I married the biggest movie star in the world,” she said.

Holmes said she wants to have another baby, but “not in the immediate future. Long term, of course.”

For now she has her hands full with Suri, who is “is growing and talking more. I am constantly surprised and challenged.”

Holmes also talked about her friends, the Beckhams. She called Victoria “very sexy.”

When asked about her thoughts on David’s good looks, she laughed and said, “He’s such a … nice man. He’s very good at what he does!”

A new video has surfaced of Tom Cruise calling the Environmental Protection Agency liars for saying the air was clean after 9/11.

He also explains how he helped provide 9/11 rescue workers with detoxification therapy based upon the works of Scientologist Founder L. Ron Hubbard.

“The [Environmental Protection Agency] came out and said the air was clean. Of course, as a Scientologist you go, that’s a lie. Outright lie. Liar. Fine,” Cruise said.

“Finally you say, dammit, just go there and do it. Put it there, let’s go, here’s the money, let’s go. Let’s just get one person treated. I can’t sleep another night.

“[Scientologists] have tools that we can apply to ourselves and apply to others. You’re gonna get improvements. Period.”

Sources say that Katie Holmes is having to switch her baby plans around so a second child wouldn’t interfere with her career.

Katie had hoped to begin filming The Other Side this month, and afterwards, get pregnant. Her plans were to have the baby and have another film out by the end of 2009. Actresses have to work their family planning out, so their pregnancies don’t affect scenes from their movies, and Katie is no different.

“Both she and Tom Cruise — especially Tom — were hoping to have their next baby before Katie turns 30 in December.”
