Soon-to-be father and star quarterback Tom Brady knows he can’t make all the calls.

He’d like a few days off to be at the birth of his first child — “I hope so,” he said Monday — but the Patriots’ schedule and coach Bill Belichick might get in his way.

“Bill has a lot to say,” Brady said, “so we’ll deal with it when it happens.”

New England plays the third of its four exhibition games — the one in which Brady usually gets the most playing time — on Friday night at Carolina. The first regular season game is set for Sept. 9 at the New York Jets.

Brady refused to say Monday if his former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan, is due to give birth to their child before the Jets game. But on Feb. 19, six months ago, her publicist, Christina Papadopoulos, said she “is over three months pregnant. Former boyfriend Tom Brady is the father.”

He doesn’t know when he’ll get a telephone call telling him he’s about to be, or already is, a father.

“I wish I did,” he said with a smile. “That’s God’s decision. The good lord is making that call. So I think everybody’s anxious. I’ll put it that way.”

Tom Brady decided to hang out with birthday girl, and girlfriend, supermodel Gisele yesterday instead of his very pregnant ex-girlfriend Bridget. Unless I hear differently, I don’t think Bridget Moynahan had her baby yesterday (c-section or otherwise). But I could be wrong, and if anyone knows I’d love to hear.

I wonder how involved Tom has been during Bridget’s pregnancy since it must be an awkward situation for all three parties involved.

Gisele Bundchen to be a bride this summer? That’s the word from the folks at In Touch Weekly. Citing an unnamed fashion photographer as its source, the magazine claims the Brazilian supermodel may wed Tom Brady before football season starts. “It’s all anyone can talk about,” the shutterbug says. “It’s all secretive, but we know Gisele is working out all the details. It definitely will be a simple affair, that’s her style.” And where might the wedding take place? Brazil. “She wants to have a ceremony where all of her family and friends can share her special day with her,” says the photographer. Word is Brady and Bundchen, inseparable in recent months, will spend Bundchen’s 27th birthday at her place in Costa Rica.

Am I the only one who does NOT think he’s cute?  He looks like an oaf to me.

Tom Brady certainly knows how to pass that ball around to his receivers – and they’re definitely running with it after the catch. Though we will eschew painful football metaphors henceforth, the news here is that Gisele Bundchen – the woman who Brady began dating shortly after ditching an already-pregnant Bridget Moynihan in December – may also be preggers with a Brady baby. The supermodel’s reps say they don’t comment on clients’ personal lives, but a source tells Rush & Molloy, “She has told friends it’s true.” Yesterday, Brazilian media sources were reporting Bundchen’s, ahem, condition.

It’s getting nasty between New England Patriots quarter back Tom Brady and his pregnant ex, “Six Degrees” ac tress Bridget Moynahan.

Pals of Brady claim Moynahan didn’t bother to tell him she was announcing her pregnancy via Liz Smith‘s column in The Post on Sunday. “Bridget didn’t even bother to tell him she was going to go public with this,” said a friend.

Some say that Moynahan, three months expectant with her first child, “may have gotten pregnant on purpose. She is 36, wanted a baby, and Tom was dumping her. It’s a little suspicious.”

But a friend of Moynahan said, “Please. They dated for three years and they broke up in December – right around the time he found out she was pregnant and he immediately started dating Gisele Bundchen. Who’s the gross one here?”

A rep for Moynahan said, “We got calls [about the pregnancy] and confirmed them, but he did get a heads-up.” Brady is meanwhile in Paris with Bundchen, who will walk in the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan next week.

According to Brazilian gossip Anderson Antunes of Web site Glamurama, Bundchen has gained 14 pounds to weigh enough to be able to walk in the show.
