According to TMZ, Tila Tequila is converting to Judaism. Apparently it’s not a ploy for publicity, either.
TMZ has learned Tequila has been taking classes at a NY temple to begin the conversion process … and even skipped Christmas this year to focus on change.
We spoke with the former MTV reality star about the situation and she explained, “As time passed, I started to become more and more fascinated with Kabbalah, the culture, and the way of life of the reform Judaism religion.”
And even though she starred in a sex tape, Tequila says … “I feel Orthodox is a little hardcore for me at this stage.”
Tila adds, “I just feel like the Jewish people have such a beautiful way about them, and I can’t wait to officially be Jewish! Shabbat Shalom.”

Tila Tequila is not the brightest crayon in the box. Apparently she was warned ahead of time that the Juggalos may not like her performance and might try to harm her.
She announced plans to launch legal action against the suspected attackers on Saturday – but Insane Clown Posse rapper Violent J insists Tequila was given advanced warning about unruly concertgoers in the crowd.
He claims the band had heard rumours about a planned stage assault prior to the event and offered Tequila the chance to back out of the gig before her scheduled set time on Friday.
He tells TMZ.com, “We told her about the rumor and she didn’t care… We paid her before the show and assured her that even if things got out of hand, she could keep the money if she had to leave the stage.”
Tequila wasn’t the only performer injured during the annual festival – rapper Method Man walked away from his show with cuts on his face after a beer can was launched at him while on stage.
Reality TV star Tila Tequila suffered facial cuts after she was pelted with glass and feces as she tried to perform at a musical festival in Illinois over the weekend.
“I went onstage and immediately, before I even got on stage, dudes were throwing huge stone rocks in my face, beer bottles that slit my eye open, almost burnt my hair…cuz they threw fire crackers on stage,” Tequila (real name: Tila Nguyen) told TMZ.com of the incident.
Another performer at the festival told CNN that Tila was mobbed onstage. “She was taunting them,” the witness said. “She didn’t know how to handle the [crowd]…She took her top off and they got really violent.”
Tequila Twittered her plans to file a lawsuit against concert organizers, telling fans “Pretty soon the owners who run the Juggalos will be bankrupt. My attorney Alan is already on it. This is disgusting behavior from men.”
